I realized that SUES stopped downloading when I was updating my P1.
I know this thread is not about SEUS but when it reached %89 it totally stopped. (I checked from Netlimiter) Than I close the tcp connection with TcpView. EVerything went so fast after that.

That was awful to wait that long to download an update =)

I'm still not satisfied with the camera and opera. I had more restarts in order to improve performance compared to previous fw. It's been one month since I bought the phone, I saw 3 fws. And I want more...

So when is the next fw

It was mentioned before, the initial update is usually for world generic phone. The other region will have to wait longer

I took a backup of my entire P1. Changed region to GW1 with XS++. Updated and restored it. All in under 30 minutes.

I can now also confirm that Swedish was available in the language list as someone pointed out earlier.

I did notice however that before I restored the settings the font on the standby screen had a glow effekt around them but after I used the restore function they are now back to how they looked before the update.

this update seemed to be really quick for me this time - around 10-15 mins? prob just depends on th eload on their server. should never take 2 hours!!!

not really much changed in this update - mostly improvements for dark themes. i like the new controls for the camera - makes more sense. Altough is seems like my green tint has gotten worse if anything!

Please start a new after SEUS update. Dob't restore any backup, just reinstall everything. That's how you'll have no restarts. It happened to a lot of ppl before with M600 and P990 including mine with both phones. It's a known issue if you look in this forum.

i agree with 701 - restoring a backup from one fw to another usually ends in tears - although thats what i have done this time and no faults as yet.

Strange because if i tried that on my m600 it would spit its dummy out...

I agree with you as well. I never restore a backup after a fw update.
I don't get unsual restarts. I get a restart especially when I use camera or opera.

With the previous fw it was easier to listen to music through A2DP while browsing with opera over wifi. But with the new fw, it is almost impossible to listen to music.

I realised that my phone is never over 80mb ram while all these restarts happened. SO I think that memory usage of P1 is very inefficient. Maybe apart from some of the applications that needs a lot ram, we don't need that much at all.

Also I think they made restart managent more fregile in order to improve battery performance. I think battery lasts longer, but I wish phone was a little bit faster(or patient before restarting itself:))

Well, I never noticed any problems restoring backups...

Just make sure you don't include 3rd party apps in the backup, those tend to cause problems. But for calendar, phonebook, notes and stuff it works just fine...

I've done a bit of reading about this and I believe its to do with the blackberry client to enforce corporate policy of locking the device (much like niactivity lock).

an 8 digit code must be entered before the device can then be used again

presumably its to protect sensitive company data should the device be lost or stolen

About Corporate Lock: Our guess is that it is the same application that was present in the previous firmware under the name CLUI, but was not present in earlier firmwares. Other than that, masseur's assumptions above look correct (we have no concrete knowledge about that).

@masseur.

as blackberry client 4.59 doesn't work with the latest firmware would this mean that bb client would still invoke corporate lock?
