Not long to wait though, anyone toying with the idea of buying an N95 on a long term contract would be advised to wait for these (much better) beauties.
People i know who have one (2) say very positive things about them.

To a point you are of course correct but then if you did that you would always be waiting for the next device to come. Personally having sold my N93 i was missing the OMAP 242O Chip's performance so weakened and bought a N95 instead of a E9O.
As much as i realise how nice these two deices are i am waiting for the true E61 replacement to come early 2008 and hopefully with an OMAP 3 Series chip and 7.2mbps HSDPA. But then that is easy for me to do as my current devices satisfy my needs perfectly for now at least.

Indeed Dogmann, but you took the wise decision of Buying your N95 S/H at a bargain price i seem to remember, Those guys locked into 18 month contracts are the ones i'm giving a hint too.

You are of course correct well partially it was actually brand new but T-Mobile branded @£270 which i did feel was a good price.
I have 6 months to go on my T-Mobile contract and won't sign another contract for this length unless it really offers me my next handset at a sensational price. The same goes for the Voda contract i have that i only took as it meant i got my Sim Free unbranded N93 cheaper than outright purchase. By choice i always buy Sim free handsets the exception being the N95 but as i only intended using it on T-Mobile and they now do so little branding it really wasn't a problem.
I have noticed though that the Networks and retailers really are pushing 18 or even 24 months contracts with £35per month costs and that many could actually get much better handsets than they settle for with this type of spend. I kept my N93 a little over 9 months which is a long time for me so these long contracts really are not that good for my needs in the last Year i have owned and used an SE M600 and then Nokia N70. N73, N93 8800 Special Edition, E61 and finally the N95 although the last 2 are my current in use devices. Yikes that's 7 phones in a year i defiantly need help with my addiction, now i just have to try a resist till next Year for any new devices.
Having said all that i have noticed CPW have come up with a new plan where if you sign a 18month contract you can upgrade by exchanging your current device after 9 months which could be big IMO. Although it may be quite restrictive as to what you can upgrade to.

Why should one wait for the N82 as opposed to purchasing a N95 right now? The only thing the N82 has that the N95 doesn't is Xenon? Is that the only improvement sans physical appearance? If the N82 doesn't have much more to offer than the N95, then I'll buy a n95 within a week or so. |

The cpw scheme is called swap it..your tariff dictates what phone you can change to after 9 months...bronze (£35pm), silver £40pm), gold (£50pm).
I'm loving the look of the n82, but as with alot of the n series, i will wait and see how the battery holds up before making a decision on it...
Having sold my n95 for it's pathetic battery life, i'm being real cautious. |

I was going to give up hope for a potential true music mobile, my dreams have been answered ,n82, the successor of the n91. its not ugly like the n91. Having 3.5mm slot makes this a the greatest thing second to sex. Im getting it for shizzle 100%. Looks like i won't be buying the w950i next week xD
Hope its not too expensive, be reasonable with the price in accordance with the specs.
check out them 2 stereo speakers, y'all.

A little Hands on article of the N81 by Engadget Mobile:
http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2007/08/29/nokia-n81-hands-on/
This phone is a killer. The ipod-ish sensitive wheel is a good idea; I'm surprised Apple didn't react to this.
It is said to be a bit bulky, I seriously hope it isn't as bulky as the N95.
I'm also waiting to see how the battery behaves but it seems that Nokia will again be ahead of SE technologically wise for this year.
Hopefully, this nice device will influence other manufacturers.
I see Motorola are also working well if the specs of the Rockr E7 are to be believed (http://pdafrance.com/news/2007-08-29/id9791/Plus-d-informations-sur-le-nouveau-Motorola-Rokr-E7/) GPS, HSDPA, WIFI touchscreen, nothing on the OS yet but a little Linux on here could do well.
A few other devices will be interesting in this year hand, the LG 'Prada' with WM6, the Samsung F700, The HTC Omni,...
It is an exciting time for us phone lovers!
Esatoians, fasten your seatbelt!

Ramerez, Motorola already announced several new phones released (up to 60% of its portfolio) is going to be Linux/Java based. BET that the E7 is Linux.
But without FULL linux power accessible by the end user in a terminal out of the box and LINUX YUM apps to install its just a regular phone to me.
@Aware, have you finally realized that with true power = go with Nokia?
THey have a vision and are EXECUTING IT!
SE is seriously falling behind only thinking of photos a& music.
