can someone tell me about the "shake" feature?
i read somewhere that it might have the shake feature? where if you want to change song or shuffle or something in the walkman menu, all you need to do is shake.
i've done a bit of research and i cant seem to find it again?
Any java plateform including jsr 256 will hav this feature. Only SE having this feature (or apple also ) |

in order to get the shake feature on your w580
please shake your head like a mad man while staring at it
then you will notice the phone is shaking....which mean
no shaker
tht is meant for phone with new java platform which is out after z750...i think it is called JP8.
w580 is using the previous java platform. |

The W580 has got the shaker, but it's only able to goto a random track, not skip back or forward like the W910.
The new Java platform is to allow the accelerometer to interact with Java applications, but the W580 still has the pedometer function remember
Check out this quote from the W910 press release:
If you’re the owner of a W580 Walkman® phone you need only to hold down the Walkman® key and give the phone a shake, regardless of whether you have the Walkman® player running at that time. Shake control will randomly play a track from your playlist, providing the perfect way to mix-up your music listening.

so only the w580 has the shake function? guess the s500 isnt as great as i first thought it would be. Even though its behind in specs, i still think its a nice phone |

It's behind even my V630i is specs but I'm still gonna get one simply because I think it's the best looking phone I've ever seen, even better looking than the LG Shine. I like all those colours but will probably go with whichever looks best on the day.

well as i said above, this is now available, though x1387 currently has a branded handset, but there are other ebay sellers with it. do a little search and you will find it
ps. if you want one, pm me, my supplier has it. comes boxed with the usual accessories, plus a 256mb m2 stick. black/green or gold colours available. seems we wont see the purple or white for a little i hope im wrong....

there's seem to be no logical link for W580 to get announced that it come with shaker function during product announcement of W910.
update
ok now i saw it in w580 spec...but i will only believe it when i see it in action
