New firmware for the W950i |

how do we patch it then to increase the volume, i am planning to seel it off very soon if the volume doesnt improve. I am shocked because the volume in old walkman phones is way too loud whereas they are so cheap and this one is the most expensive and its sound quality has been diminished...nooone knows why.
Same thing happened when i updated w810i using SEUS the volume was low with new firmware and then i had to pay to again downgrade the firmware and then the volume was loud again
so i feel this is a firmware issue, SE should develop a firmware which can make the phone loud
or Seunlock can develop a patch in .SIS format which we can install like we install other apps and we can pay seunlock for it.....what say seunlock ? |

We have been over this about 4 times. We are currently working on said patch, however this is far from complete, and will need tested before we can release it.
So there is no ETA for this as we haven't even completed it yet.

I will also check and confirm what branding /29 is. It's def EU lol hahahaha. Most of the newer version of the PDA's have been coming with RSS in the multimedia menu, however there should also be =>

When music is playing and some1 rings or texts me my phone will only beep. does anyone know how to chnge this to that the music will stop and the ringtone rings, because i know i love my music, but i dont love it that much that i miss all my calls and texts |

This Has been asked time and time again!!
Some People Suggest putting the phone in silent mode first!! which may work on other phones but on my w950i it does what it says on the tin and in silent mode you dont even hear the music let alone the call!! may as well switch the phone off!

deezer-d - same as you here - I have all the apps listed by se-unlock present on my multimedia menu too - application shop, rss feeds, playnow and picture gallery... Again no branding anywhere I can see - no startup screens etc..
se-unlock - so are you saying that you doubt this new software will come out for our particular firmware? How old would you say our firmware is?
Would you suggest updating it to newer - perhaps from you?
I take it you still recommend this new firmware that just came out this week over any other versions...

This is a good opportunity for me to point out, that as a business, we are very honest with our customers, as you are about to find out.
If a customer asks a question we give our HONEST opinion, whether that is good for our pocket or not.
We would rather have trust and above all we are here to help, we are a small team who don't do this as a main job so it's just a hobby really. personally I work for Orange as a main job......anyway.....

Thank you for considering us for the job of updating the FW but I would say that if you have R9C that is more than adequate and you shouldn't bother updating it until there is a major change.
As for your CDA, from what you are saying it would appear to be a unbranded version, however I have not come across it before as a generic CDA so, that may be why SEUS is struggling to find updates for it. Being obscure is just as bad as being branded in the case of SEUS as you wont be able to find as many updates for your unpopular CDA, as those with generic /1, /2 etc.

As you say, honesty is your most important assett - and people do notice these things...
I might still consider sending the phone for upgrade - I'll think about it from now until next pay day

I meant to ask - has anyone noticed if the new firmware fixes the stereo bluetooth streaming output from the w950?
I have the se bluetooth headset and although its clearly marked L and R on the earbuds - it reverses the channels. Thats the sony headset - I also tried a plantronics unit (with the same result) so the bug is on the w950 itself!
For example, Play David Bowie's Space Oddity and notice the vocal and instrument placements in each ear with the wired headset - then try the bluetooth headset - reversed isn't it!
The workaround? Simple wear your bluetooth headbuds the wrong way round! But surely someone at SE had to notice what the W950 was doing.... unreal...

so SE finally got back to me about the updating issue and they suggested i do a Master Reset, which i did, but it didn't fix the problem...my update program is still looping...if anyone has been able to update their W950i correctly, do you remember doing anything special on your phone and/or computer to make it work? |
