I don't think so. It has always been a battle with the two samsungs and the W850i and K800i. I have forgotten which of the new SE phones will be hittingthe market first - I think its the W880i which is sure to be a hit.

I used to think that the more expensive phones wouldn't be able to make the top ten but the K800i proved that wrong.

I'm not sure the W610i will be huge though the white K550i has a good chance of becoming the next big hitter. It just looks really nice in white.

My money is on the k550 and w880 to be the next big sellers for SE. The white k550 is so good looking I can't believe it's not even high end. The w880 is truly amazing when you look at the dimensions.

SE symbian phones need to be pushed, they are the future.

@EMS06

I agree.

After reading the review of it over on Mobile-review I have been completely taken by it.

Slim phones have been around for a few months but as the review said - only Sony Ericsson has managed to make a slim phone and pack it with an excellent set of features. A winning formula if ever there was one.

@goldenface- you haven't seen a slim phone until you see a Sony Ericsson. It will always have something special. I for one am very happy with the start for SE this year when you consider that Sofia and the Uiq models are still to be announced. Looking forward to the next announcements.

Do you think UIQ phones will become as mainstream as S60? How do they compare with non-smart phones - say speed wise?

Week ending 23.2.2007 - Contract Phones

The LG Shine leaps into second place this week, knocking top three stalwarts the Samsung D900 and Nokia N73 into lower spots. Retailers are reporting massive sales of the device, giving every indication it could hit the top spot within weeks.

Week ending 23.2.2007 - PAYG Phones

Little change in the prepay chart this week, with the Motorola L6 still holding strong. The handset has had an almost unbroken eight month run at the top spot. With a recent flux of new budget handsets revealed at 3GSM, who will be the one to eventually oust it?

K610i is doing quite well, better then i ever expected.
on the other side their aren't many SE's in the stats, its over run by nokia, and even LG is picking up marketshare.
W880 will be a hit, but one phone alone isn't enough, we need more SE phones in the stats.
With Ericsson and Nokia gone: we must keep their spirits alive and buy JOLLA or YOTA

I agree. I have a feeling that shine will be No 1 next week at this rate. The W880i is sure to be a hit but does need to get these phones out quick.

In a recent interview, it was said the the K510i and the K550i are expected to be the big hitters this year but probably not in the UK where SE's mid tier phones do better such as the K800i.
