I've just removed the pro version - I had my phone reboot when I plugged in the USB and (in flight mode) last night 30% of the battery 'leaked' away

To Lisa
I'm trying SM pro, great stuff, really helps, no restarts yet!
The floating icon disapears from time to time, open it again via P990 task mgr, any reason?
Whats the cost when trial period is over? |

| Most probably the operating system closes Swiss Manager due to low memory. To prevent it, enable the Settings/Behavior/Resist exit requests option.Quote:

| Around 20 US bucks, slightly depending on reseller.Quote:

| No, one serial number is for one phone, anything else is illegal.

Lisa,
I sent these queries to Cellphonesoft a couple of days ago and have not had a response. Hopefully you can clear them up here for my SwissMP:
1. Can the icon be made to truly float so that it doesn't cover the SE icons? Having the SwissMP icon covering the Silent icon or keyboard mode icon is not good.
2. Quite often in Task Manager I find that Swiss MP is open twice which obviously uses up an unnecessary amount of precious RAM. I'm not sure what causes it but it is something I have experienced regularly, especially when I was playing around with the features of SwissMP.
3. When "Cleanup when idle" is ticked, the Media Player is stopped after a few minutes of listening to music. If I use the Toggle Exclusion feature to stop Media Player being turned off then it becomes impossible to shut down the application once I've finished using it without un-toggling the application. It's all very clumsy and inconvenient. Surely SwissMP can detect when the Media Player is being used and not close it down? Otherwise, at worst, the "Kill task" should override "Toggle Exclusion" and shut down the application. This problem prevents me from using the Cleanup when idle feature which, to me, is Swiss Manager's biggest asset.
Otherwise, SwissMP is a great application!

Oops, sorry for that!Quote:

| Semi-transparency is a planned feature for some later version.Quote:

| SMP never runs in more than one instance. Apparently the built-in Task Manager sometimes "imagines" that SMP's status icon is a separate program.Quote:

| Unfortunately there is no easy way to detect what a running program is exactly doing. In any case, your demand is noted and we will provide a solution as soon as it is found.

I have a quick question/tip...
swissMP will let you kill a system process called SecurityApp, and that will gain you an extra 2MB or so of free ram. On a clean boot i can load swissMP and have 13.9MB free, then kill that app, and then be left with around 16.1MB free memory.
There doesn't appear to be any problems caused by killing SecurityApp, that i have noticed. But it must perform some function, does anyone know what that might be?
I'm using a P990i flip-less by the way, just to clarify.
Also, is there any chance SwissMP could be changed to allow the user to kill more system apps, such as IRSendListen? Assuming the app is for sending and listening for infrared traffic, i'd like to be able to kill it as i never use IR.

On mine I only get 24 K of memory made available after I kill that process with the phone on for the last 2 days.

Lisa... I definitevelly love your SMpro, mostly because many of the problems in P990 have dissapeared after the installation of SMpro.
BUT the spanish translation is horrible, almost imposible to understand many of the software features, and this is a pitty because there is a big market for SMpro here in Spain.
I offer myself to make the translation to the correct Spanish for you, at no charge, of course.
