Well I am sticking with the N80 I think. I can live with charging it every night tbh. Should have a 2GB mini sd tonight! Yeah my signal is weak. Like a foot away from the router with just a printer between I only get 50% signal. I think I need a firmware upgrade! Can they really increase signal over firmware? I heard that early firmwares have bad signal, but later they dont?

is there anyway to check what software version you have on the n80, like you can on se's with the little code, or of course update service?

I might be swapping my k800 for a black n80, but want to know what region its from as some features may NOT work properly with differnt region firmwares? Can i find this info on n80? Can i find out what region it is from, like se has eu2 for example? is this possible?

cheers

@ads1107 so to find what firmware you have you must enter the code *#0000# but i don't think that nokia gives you some kind of code la SE,to tell you for which region it is

Hey guys. I've got an N91. It's a good phone but it also suffers from short battery standby, I'm trying my best to go without listening to music as to see whether it'll last longer. Here's a Q, I can swap my wife's samsung D900 for an N80 today. What do you guys think? worth it?

the D900 def. looks better, plus it's probably thinner. if she doesn't need symbian, then she should keep the D900.

Guys, I'll probably be swapping my W800 for a N71 in a couple of days. What are your views on the N71?

She's not using the d900 atm because I gave her my W810i to use. Is there no1 here that thinks it's a worthwhile swap? D900 for N80.

Swap it and run! It would take me an hour to list the pros in this deal.

Hi Dust,
most if not all of the problems have been sorted in the latest firmware release which should be available for home flashing any time now if not a visit to a service centre will do. The only other problem with the N80 is battery life but you can always get a spare, no one can really make the decision for you so much depends on your personal preference and what you actually need or want to do.

Thanks for your reply. Battery life is not too much of an issue. All I want to know really is if it will b a good swap, for me at least. eventually I want to have the whole N Series together. I have the N91 NOW, next the 80, followed by the 90 then the 70. then I'LL start with the newer models.
