Mine arrived today, strap, but no m2 card (or even 3g SIM for that matter).
I phoned O2 (CPW) and asked why I didnt get a SIM, or an M2 (I made out that they told me that I would be getting a memory card, even though they never said, or denied it at the time). They are being posted out to me now. Not sure of the size of the card, but anything's better than nothing! |

Well... Got a parcel from o2 this morning, opened it up to see a nice new 512mb memory card for my k800, now all ive got to do is figure out how to wedge this big green memory stick pro duo in to that tiny little space in the phone!
So i rang up again giving them all the ive already been told twice and it says on the website and now you have sent me the wrong one. So like Jols88 I was told they dont stock the M2 cards. I had to promt her saying cant you just get me one from the o2 store instead, then she said if i bought one from there and faxed her the receipt I would get it credited to the account.
I just wish they had put the credit in first like with Jols88 tho, coulda ordered a gig stick from somewhere else instead!
EDIT: Parents just got me the 512 M2 from the o2 store while they are out, the guy said if I didnt open it I could take it back and change it for a gig for £20 extra once ive got the credit, so I might do that. They are pretty expensive in there though, £49.99 for the 512 and £69.99 for the gig!

£49 for a 512! That is a rip off! I got my 512mb from xlshop for £17.99 - bargin!
I am amazed at how small it actually is - im going to have to be careful using the M2 adapter and not losing the card when I take it out of the phone. |

£69.99 for a 1gb is even more of a rip off i paid £36 for mine delivered from w2w, but saying that, essentially your only paying £20 for the 1gb once o2 credit you the money so thats all good then

Yeh just gonna wait make sure they actually credit my account before i do anything, will have to put up with out a card til then. Might even see if I can just take it back get my money back that would be even better! Probs just end up getting it changed for the gig though.
The thing is most people will probably pay that if they get the phone from the shop without even looking for it elsewhere, and it is small isnt it, looking at both the M2 and the duo in the pack. Not long ago I thought the Duo was tiny!

Memory card saga.....
What a carry on!
All in all, over the last few days I must have spent about 2.5 hours on the phone being passed from pillar to post and generally being fobbed off. That's in addition to numerous emails being sent.
In the end, I've just been speaking with an Indian guy called Joseph who has eventually credited my 02 account with £20 in the absence of a supplied memory card. This was despite him saying earlier in the conversation that it was 100% impossible for his department to credit accounts. Hmmmm. I suspect my demand to officially escalate the issue proved to be the turning point. Annoyingly, the 02 home page now has a direct link to the K800i and it STILL says the phone comes with an M2 memory card.

Just to add my story to the memory stick saga. Just got my K800 off O2, as a new contract, switching from Voda. They waived the £50 for the handset, and then I complained about the lack of M2, despite the fact that the online shop says "Memory stick: yes (Memory Stick Micro M2)". It took a good while of pressing the point that this was misselling, but they gave in eventually, and say they are sending me one. I have had the email order confirmation for a 512MB M2. So they can do it on the phone, for online store orders.
Hope this helps some people. Give it a go. If it doesn't work, at least it should get them to realize how misrepresentative their web site is.
Cheers

It seems like O2 and SE have now both made it clear about the cards on their websites.
On the O2 site under "phone details":
http://shop.o2.co.uk/shop/o2u[....]dID=consumer:SE:K800i:3G:GROUP
Memory Card Yes - Memory Stick Micro M2 (Card not included)
And on the SE site (knowledgebase):
http://knowledgebase.sonyeric[....]he+box&resultType=5002#Goto207
The Memory Stick Micro™ (M2™) is not included into the standard phone kit. However, some service providers choose to include a 64MB memory card into the kit. For exact information if the card is included or not, please, contact the service provider.
BUT, the SE site says we should be getting the M2 adapter and hpm-61 headphones with a 3.5 mm jack. Any ideas?
(and i did get a strap with mine. It was under the cardboard insert in the box, where the usb/headphones etc were) |

Wonder how many cards or credits they had to give out because of this?
Serves them right I say.

Well, on the O2 site, it now officially states, that the Memorystick M2 is not included.... I suppose it's too late for me, and I'm getting mine today!
Can anybody tell me why the O2 order number consisting of gm-******** doesn't get recognised in the DHl site or the parceline site. I wanna know where it is! It just says something like "Invalid Ident code"...
Cheers

It should work on the DHL site, but as i recall i had to try it in a few different boxes to find the right one (eg, it might not be an ideant code, might be consignment number or something). If in doubt, give them a call.
