Although I did want England to win I do hope that Trinidad & Tobago can still make it through to the next round. If Sweden and Paraguay draw tonight, England beat Sweden next week and Trinidad beat Paraguay I think they can still get to the second round. If not I hope at least one of the other African teams can get through.

SWEDEN 1 - 0 PARAGUAY
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/[....]all/world_cup_2006/4853022.stm
"After a performance not dissimilar to that in their opening game, Sweden conjured up their first goal at these finals to secure their first win. While they are now clear favourites to join England in the second round, Paraguay, who again defended bravely without really looking threatening in attack, will make an early exit after their final match against Trinidad and Tobago."

@residing - Yeah me knows that . . . How I wish that Pele is still playing for Brazil at present .. .
My crystal ball tells me that the winner of the 2006 World Cup will NOT be: Germany and UK as many of our fellow-members here have predicted . . . it will be Michael Schumacher of course Ooops, sorry, a country from - South America will !

Unfortunately for you, there is no country at present called the United Kingdom so therefore there is no UK football team. So then England are gonna win it then |

"If anyone doubted Argentina's credentials, they can doubt no more. As for Serbia and Montenegro, this ‘nightmare group’ has become just that."

Yeah what Miss Copperfield said...
The simple fact that small teams like Serbia & Montenegro and Trinidad & Tobago have played their best during the competion and even against top favourite teams should make their countries proud of them. I certainly would be. Still if you look at how Argentina played that game!

Great play by Argentina, thats what football is all about. I think the 2nd goal was the best, like ballet dance. And after the game, our coach blamed the weather. Haha
