If you noticed, all Sony high ends have a all black glass, making the screen invisible when turned off. It's not present in Xperia SP, L, U etc.
Maybe you mean flagship? because I remember one high end with a full white front and it was this:
All of 2012 flagships have full black. ZL might be the exception. |

Thus making Ricky D's post untrue, because you CAN have white glass on front and still be a high end phone... And, honestly, I like that way more...

Can, though extremely unlikely. Like what Ricky mentioned, it's not Sony style. In fact the whole of 2012 phones (of i know of) have full black. Though I'm 100% sure Xperia L, SP, Tipo, Miro, J, U and more doesn't have the invisible screen. |

I discussed with two Sony employees today at different shops.
All they confirmed is that Honami will not be a z refresh and it will have outstanding camera specs.
There will not be another S800 phone from sony this year, at least in Japan.
Honami will be part of the docomo winter collection, i hope the flagship.
This should mean a release - at least in Japan - in october/november, i need to check when docomo announced the winter collection last year.
The other info i had is related to xperia z ultra. It is currently not planned to release in Japan. Sony is negociating with docomo for a release as part of the docomo autumn collection but no agreement has been reached yet.
Sorry this may be of interest to very few people.
One employee spoke more openly about honami, he was also very excited about it which is good news

The short answer is, I do not know.
But this is an info i have not found on japanese rumor forums yet, secondly, two different people at two different places, thirdly one of them does not fit your description above, but please allow me not to tell more.
Edit: it is not Kaz, that I can share safely 
Anyway, personally I trust it, it does not mean it is correct, and it is the docomo release, so release in Europe and selected Asian countries can be earlier, i guess they have to deal with different carriers everywhere.
OT
I also played with the RX 1R and RX100ii, and asked the VAIO owner-made desk to build me a ubuntu VAIO, but they said it is windows only. I replied "I understand, this is a question of time." but they did not seem to understand me. Maybe windows 8 lifts laptops sales better than what i thought after all.

Ok so a brief look at last year, Docomo collections presentations.
Autumn: August 31, so Xperia z ultra may be announced by docomo arround that date if they agree to include it, I hope they will.
Winter: October 13, so this my expectation for the Japan market release date of Honami in 2013. Honami will be part of this collection, almost certain.

Has it been confirmed yet if honami only has led flash. Otherwise there seems to be people here that can shed some light regarding type of flash, for instance stook or unknown13. |

That's more like the reaction i was hoping from them 
But yeah, ubuntu with touch screen, that sony could brand the way they want, would be both efficient and a good way to differentiate the VAIO.
Back to xperia, I also had a discussion about Ubuntu touch on Xperia. The person said there is already firefox os work underway, but nothing more than we already know. He recognised ubuntu touch would perform faster than android, i just hope there are many people like him in Sony, so we may see high end xperia running ubuntu touch when it is ready.

After watching a couple z ultra videos on YouTube, I'm in love again....I actually really really want this phone right now n can prob live with the size as long as I have the sbh52 mini handset as well...damn u Sony, u suck for making me want to upgrade my z so fast....I want triluminos on my phone so bad....since i can't afford a new tv... |
