To be honest, I see no reason why you guys should just sit and wait. When the UK firmware rolls out you can flash that but for now why don't you flash the available JB firmware? Also Flashtool is now "an official Sony tool". Nor is there any risk of bricking your phone.

Since when did flashtool become an official Sony application?

Not the same as XDA flashtool

Ah got you yes this one is Sony's tool for people who have unlocked bootloaders and running custom roms who wish to return to a stock rom.

Ok so first impression is that it's vastly different speed wise and noticed that my signal seems better, very much like the keyboard great improvement there as well, u.I seems a lot snappier only only bug in my opinion is the white interface that's all over it, has anyone worked out how to go back to black.
One other question as well if I wanted to flash the firmware that comes to the UK soon how would I do this now.
Thanks
Chris.

You'll have to grab the ftf file from xda when it's available and use flashtool to flash back

Also, the white interface for the phonebook ,messaging etc. isn't a bug. It's a UI guideline set by Google for JB and Sony seem to have complied.

I prefer the darker theme, too.

Thanks for the advice guys, to be honest the phone seems transformed very very fast indeed. Jellybean and project butter is a massive os upgrade.
Will I be able to ota once the next update comes with this firmware?

Nope, you will have to flash the UK firmware. And AFAIK OS updates are not delivered OTA but only via PC Companion.

Has anyone heard of any Xperia TXs getting the upgrade?

Mine is technically branded (with a single, inconspicuous app nonetheless) so I'll probably have to wait for a bit.

As long as you haven't unlocked your bootloader then you will be able to update ota when a new one comes out but it will be for the firmware you have flashed and not the UK one
