Dont compare coz there aint any point in comparisons ATM.
You for one can compare the Satio interface to the one in the N97/5800 etc etc..
And the W995 interface to the one in the non-touch nokias. As you will see the non-touch nokias havent gone through a cosmetic change over a few years either. |

I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY NEED TO CHANGE THESE OLD GOODIES. IT'S SIMPLE AND CLEARLY UNDERSTANDABLY UI.
I DIDN'T SEE HOW MUCH SAMSUNG EVEN NOKIA CHANGES THEIR UI EITHER.
I ALSO BELIEVE THAT TOUCHSCREEN ISN'T NEW INNOVATIVE (EXCEPT ONLY IPHONE) WE SAW THAT LONG TIME BEFORE AND IT NOT FOR EVERYONE TO LOVE TOUCHSCREEN.
I BELIEVE SAMSUNG HAD SPY IN LG AND STOLEN CUBE MENU (COPYCAT FROM IPHONE TOO) BLUE-PRINT (LG ARENA & SS JET) TO APPLY TO THEMSELVES JUST STOLEN NOT ANY INNOVATIVE.
AND SOMEONE JUST ONLY READER AND COMPARER ONLY SPEC-SHEET WITHOUT REAL TESTER UNIT AND KEEP SAYING THIS SAYING THAT. IT'S NOT GOOD THEN THROW IT OUT OF WINDOW AND BUY THOSE RUBBISH KOREAN (NEED TO IMPROVE MORE RELIABLE).

Interface is playing a huge part in the latets phone coming out, if SE dont update there interface they wont have anything new to advertise, specs are not enough, without change of the interface they will only have copy and paste phones, im guessing by how much you are into keeping things the same you must be all for copy and paste phones?? It was this kind of opinion that brought SE into the red |

Once in the bright outdoor, what is the use of oled on N86 where you can hardly see whats on the screen?
He didn't mention all the mobile basic functions such as keypad, clever messaging, smart dialing, compact, lighter, speakers, louder in the ear which are plus points for W995. Probably those plus points are needed more in daily usage than the ability to install more softwares. Therefore, the rating should come more or less equal.
How about the terrible call logs of N86 where it shows all number types (Home, Mobile, Office) with mobile icon? W995 like all other SE phones displays them with proper icons to know whether you dialed a person's Home, Office, or Mobile.

Now coming over to the loudspeakers, the N86 has an absolutely appalling pair of loudspeakers which produces a thin, flat sound (read: noise) that can hardly be called music

Let's face it, S60 aside, the n86 is actually better overall... But it just doesn't quite hit the spot like the w995 does

There has been a huge deal done about the S60 system. The S60 over the years with transitions from Ver1 to ver 3 hasnt had any changes to actually ogle about. A200 on the other hand has ported in smart search, flash themes, better multitasking and a much much better media menu cum player which beats every other non-smart/smart phone in out of the box catefory. |

Exactly. The A200 platform is something magical and all. You can't exactly beat it but it feels old. Also wow the Walkman apparently is V4. |

I bet that the W995's sales will only reach those of the Sony Ericsson C905 at best - it definitely won't become a landmark in the industry, no matter how much time you spend training and brainwashing your sales assistants...

Oh Eldar. You better start saving your hard earned salary for that bet.
What a moaner. The guy can be very objective on certain matters but when he starts getting all-emotional...zonked.
^ as if none of the other manufacturers brainwash their sales assistants with as much marketing grub as they can produce. It won't become a landmark but it has already become a top seller. He'll probably try his hardest to slow down W995' sales with even more of his trademark articles after this. You know - "special camera write-up" and all that.
