PK...
Don't think you answered this, but I remember reading that someone from the US had asked if the P5 is quad-band? Does it support US 3G frequencies? I certainly hope so because otherwise it would be a huge waste of an awesome phone!
For example the W960 doesn't support UMTS 1900 and doesn't even have EDGE! Any information you provide is greatly appreciated. Also, can't wait til you get your proto back so we can get more info... hopefully the announcement will come soon so we can all get our curiousity quenched!
Thanks in advance.

Lack of EDGE is a typical drawback of most(if not all) of Sony Ericsson phones.

@PK
The chance to see your proto again is extremely low.
Most probably it has been scraped.
You'll get an entirely new device

ok one P5i update is the NFC and im 99% sure of it
its a near-filed communication for transferring files between devices
its a recent patent that SE just made
cool feature in my opinion
check it out:

but the problem is im not sure if thats an excuse to the delay (if it was a delay)!!

yes, lack of EDGE is bad. luckily my z710 has EDGE which is nice. But still, no answer yet about the quad-band and UMTS 1900?

Well the P5i is either gonna use the U350 (QuadGSM/EDGE + 2100 HSDPA) like the W910i/W890i or the U360 (QuadGSM/EDGE + TriHSDPA) like the K850i/Z750i. Hopefully SE chooses the latter. |

Ronka's comment looks like a joke, I think.
If serious, that's REALLY funny. |

at sealover ...your P5i photoshoped picture has a flaw
Take a look at the send "green" button and end "red" button.
They are not in line.
The green one is slanting and the red one is flat.
You may want to correct it.
Good Job !! |

There's nothing wrong with it. That's how Sony Ericsson's call buttons are.

EDGE is really important esp in countries or areas where are no 3G coverage |

Considering the fact that whatever PK had has probably been scrapped and the development of its replacement is apparently ongoing, surely this thread may as well be knocked on the head now? It could be months before any "real" P5i is ready to be announced, it might have a completely different name and bear no relation to PK's prototype or any of the specs or information here, and could well end up looking nothing like the photoshop either.
I say, lock this one up again until we have some more concrete info, and somebody has this new P5 back in their hands.
Speculating about a prototype which no longer exists, and will never hit the market in any form we currently know about, is pretty futile.
