I asked the one Nokia rep at the Nokia Developers' stand.
He confirmed the touchscreen implementation on certain Nokia handsets next year, but I couldn't get him to get more specific than that, unfortunately. No new touchscreen prototypes were visible either...

That big integrated speaker is on the top half of the 'slide' and tucks in behind the display, when not using the slider keypad on the lower half of the phone. It's actually not that hefty, dimension-wise; 101mm x 52 x 17.8mm. A pity I never had a chance to play any tracks on it, to see just how loud it can play...

It's the Sharp SH401i. Unfortunately for the Japanese market only, with their different frequency bands. 
As last year, it was a rare opportunity to see working examples of these NTT/ DoCoMo network phones here, or anywhere outside Japan, for that matter.
