The F700 really looks good, especially that huge screen. Speaking of big screens, our family doc gave me the key to his office wifi network. It's on my route to and from work, so i downloaded some games, but apart from that i've been using the iPaq more frequently for reading ebooks, loving it! Of course, that's when Mrs.K allows me to use it, she's found the games which i downloaded onto it, particularly Solitaire, to be quite addictive.

How are you finding the E50 so far?

@dad - Well it's a NICE fone . . . took some other peeps reviews prior to buying 'cause it's already CHEAP (like those of the: P990 and K800) - just got it for US$ 178.65 (with 512 Sandisk micro-SD card) with 1 year parts and service warranty with Nokia, Philippines . . . I took it cause it can browse the NET well . . . also I like it's: message reader and vioice aid FEATURES wherein the fone reads my TEXT messages for me . . . They say that this is a STANDARD feature with Nokia E-series fones . . . quite surprised to see it 'cause don't have this YET

Yeah, I think the dust/shock-resistant Nokia 5500 also has that feature. Seems like a good deal you got there matey. I know that one of the big UK independent cellphone retailers, Expansys, sell them for around £123.95 at the moment, which is notably more expensive than what you paid, once that's coverted into $.

Yup, it sure has that feature:
http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_5500_sport-1557.php
However, I haven't seen/heard the 'text-to-speech' function in action, nor do I know of any other manufacturers out there with that feature.
As regards the exchange rate, yup it's close to $2 for each £1.
The phone would probably be cheaper if it was readily carried by more networks here, who naturally focus more heavily on the non-business/everyday users, I guess. Even the E90 isn't carried by most of the networks, some stock the E61i, but the E65 seems to be doing relatively well in this sector.
For what you paid, you've got every reason to be happy with it, matey.
Anywayz, time to . Done enough admin for tonight and it's very late. Hope you're having a good Tuesday. G'night.

@ama - Thanks for the LINK pal ! Sorry with my last post as I was pertaining to Nokia's - Message Reader feature . . . When the TEXT mesage I receive is in English language . . . the READ is OK (standard) . . . but when I receive text messages in my lingo . . . and is bein' READ . . . I am always how the fone READS it
Here's the ONGOING fone rates at my end at the moment dude (selected models though) . . . exchange rate is roughly: 1US$ = Php 44.00.

if you think that's bad, think again. Heard on the radio earlier that an iceberg is headed this way, it's been sighted just off the Cape St.Francis coast, an hour or so from us, lol
Jojo, maybe this is what you're looking for...
"...simply follow the instructions below to download the required files to add new text-to-speech languages and voices to your compatible phone.

Finally got to play with the iPhone this afternoon albeit for a short while. Touchscreen is totally awesome, love the way text messages are organised as conversations- the same as with Treo's and Gmail.
A colleague got his phone unlocked and working on MTN...but he'll brick the phone if ever he tries to update its firmware.
@kryptik: That iceberg sighting seems to have been a false alarm...an Airforce Puma flew over the area this afternoon and couldn't see anything...25 nautical miles off the coast is just too much.
