If that USP is like what we saw with the X series, then it should be UNSP !! wonder what they're planning on..
Read properly. How can the USP be same like the x-series if it's never been seen on mobile. Anyway looking forward to it. Need to replace my z5 compact. Everything is great except the overheating issue |

Triple rear camera sensor or dual selfie cam?
Xenon flash?
New battery tech?
New materials for the body?

Thermal sensors?
Biomedical sensors?
Or perhaps that CURVED sensor that has long been forgotten.
Sony is big-on their sensor business so I am putting my guess on the camera part.
I would love to see an interchangeable lens specially designed for that model. Not the likes of their previous attempt. |

Are we finally going to get the bj attachment in the box? Complete with media content that synchronises with the device for true VR?
The camera dept is the area with most room for improvement unless it is completely off the wall.
If not then what is there? New materials? Software features? Under screen fingerprint sensor? Solar panel under the screen? Less likely in my opinion.

how exciting. that's if the anon tip is even reliable (don't know, just saying).
my money would probably be on the camera since that's where they have been improving the most over the years, next would be the screen. incorporating their bravia tech into the screen.
honestly don't think it will be something off the wall. i don't think sony has the balls to do something like that, nor the marketing power to make it a must have among consumers.

Sony are proud to introduce the new Xperia family with record breaking gigantenormous chin and forehead. Packing our new curved sensor, its so good at 8MP that you'll never need to use the other 30MP ever, in fact we won't let you change the resolution or anything because you don't need a manual mode. No 4K recording? No problem because you probably don't have a 4K TV anyway. SteadyShot will allow you to take stunning images if you have a bionic arm. Side mounted fingerprint scanner keeps your device secure, not available in America because your fingers are too big. Despite reduced battery capacity, you will get 2 days of usage if your device is switched off. X Performance owners will receive a £1 voucher towards their next Xperia purchase and a LOL sticker. Available in 2019 |

My guess would be 360 videos, especially if both cameras record in 4K. Would make sense as it would be a world first as the post mentions and Sony don't have their own 360 camera like LG and Samsung do.

Dual 4K on a phone or a 360 Gear kind of device?
I don't see this happening on a phone and especially not with Sony mobiles.
If this were to happen, that would be the biggest "surprise mother f*cker" moment of this decade.

According to the bloke who's trying to sell the F8331 both cameras record in 4K so it maybe possible for 360 videos, who knows.
