For those lucky enough to get their hands on the xperia Z, is the XZ's speaker really bad comparing to those of other phones like the Xperia S or T? |

Yes there is no comparison. The cheesy Sony ad with its movie style music and movie style voice over with its perfect view of human life. Horses on beaches and people living in amazing houses and being able to stream to a compatible tv..
Blah blah blah. So damn what. Ive never seen horses running free on a beach.
The Samsung ad isnt cheesy, or nowhere near as much if it is, it actually goes into detail about the phones clever ways of interacting with people. It has a better soundtrack and doesnt have some weirdo introducing it like its a hollywood blockbuster.
So Samsung owners are stupid ? It would seem its the other way round by what you say. You see the ad and then have to work hard to find more out about it with its limited information on the device in question. There isnt even a QR barcode to scan to open a URL. Theres no description of it at all. Just a 'believe what stuff says' suggestion.
Sony really arent trying at all.

The samsung one is ok but a little cheesy but does raise some real life situations where such features work, like sharing media at the airport, choosing the best pictures at a wedding etc. The designed for humans thing was and always will be a silly notion though. Remember Sony's effort at trying to tie technology to humans with the Playstation 2's 'emotion engine' (cpu) that clearly was just a cpu like every other cpu ? So Sony are guilty of similar nonesense.
But the Sony ad ? Pure nonesense from start to finish.
- a girl in a millionaires mansion sharing video to a tv nobody actually owns
- a bloke on a scooter holding the phone.. for no apparent reason
- a bloke puts he phone on his car bonnet.. and picks it up again. For no apparent reason. .
- a man sits having breakfast with his son and sees a spider. Now with the Z's poor viewing angles he wouldnt be fooled as it would appear washed out or negative. .
- horses on a beach, he films them instead of running fr the stampede !
- man in a bar with friends, nobody cares they just want to get drunk !
Need I go on.. ?

This is true but it's what to expect from popularity, that goes with anything. Whats more annoying are the Sony hater clowns, they seem obsessive as if they're on a mission an are trying too hard.
Is anyone even sure yet if AT&T or T mobile is getting this in the US, I hear one then the other. I wouldnt be worried about the loudspeaker, more so it's placement. Seems like a place that gets covered quite often, thats one thing about the Acro S I love. |

Just read on GSM Arena the new Asus Padfone also uses a Sony BSI sensor. The image quality turned out good.

Lol, Can't believe someone actually spent a significant amount of time analyzing that YouTube video. Even the biggest of Sony fanboys wouldn't have spent so much time. People and their obsessiveness.
On a serious note,when it comes to marketing this phone, I do hope Sony actually tries as hard as some of these guys so obsessed about writing only negative things about Sony (and of course, only positive things about their favorite company). |

They got tired of bashing the phone, now they're bashing the adverts first time someone took an advertisement too seriously and critized the hell out of it  . Agree, never thought someone would put the effort to do that.

That wasn't a fair "black" comparison. God, it's almost as large as the Z with a smaller display. And the new UI looks messy. |
