@Zak Good to see another Melburnian in the BlueJackin' business!
Any "hotspots" might be worth checkin' out?
@All Have had a great read!!
Congrats to Ajack for kicking this off.
Anyone had any Blue Jacking luck with a PC?
I've got a 100m range Belkin Bluetooth Adaptor on my Notebook PC, curious as to whether this might let me cast a wider net for Brick victims...

I made first(couple) jack. It was at a festival, where much planes were shown. The point: First, I realized that many people around me and thought that they must have on their phones. I made a search, then I found two 6310i. I sent them both a contact with the text, 'Nice planes, huh?'. I only saw one reaction. He watched his Fukia's screen with a very confused face. Then I sent things to other people. Like 'I see you', or 'You've just been blujacked'. Next I noticed a 3650 in a young boy's hand. I made a photo of him, then I sent it via . It was nice to see the reaction. He watched the place, where the photo was taken, very courius. Then I saw a Very Important Person. I think, cuz he was in a black suit(in 35degrees), and soldiers patrolled him. Then I looked at his hand and there was a 6310i! I didn't send anything, cuz I was frightened, what if someone discovers me, and I get into trouble. Then I realized that noone/nothing can find me, and made a contact:'Nice suit.'. But when I sent it, he was out of range and the Connection failed. It was a great chance, but I screwed it up...maybe next time. I made other contacts, like 'It's time', but I couldn't send it cuz I didn't find any more devices.
jack is funny.

When I read all these stories, I want Bluetooth so bad!!! Wish SE came up with an accessory that gives non-Bluetooth phones (such as my T300) the Bluetooth feature… This must be technically possible, isn't it? *dreams on*

I was out in my home town last night having a few drinks....I seen this guy sitting down with a nokia phone in his hand....i wasnt sure which one it was but i thought i might as well search for a bluetooth device...to my surprise i found it! straight away i sent a contact to his phone saying "buy sony ericsson"...his face looked amazed! He was puzzled..moments later i sent him another one saying "u can smile"...about 3 mins after this he left!

@ Zak: thought Harvey Norman wd b gd too!(?)
Tried Clarendon St. this morning in a caf - no joy, didn't have time to do the Blokia Shop like I was hopin' to...
Wound up in a satellite 'burb (blv it or not - because of work "I get around...")
Scanned the local Optus shop from outside, no joy -then thght I'd go in, ask about SE's etc.
Met a great guy (staff) who just happens to post here!!
He gd insights into SE's etc.
We compared a shot I took in Palm Cove (Qld) last week that I beamed to his P800 and an out of the box T610 and my T68!
Believe it or not - same pic on 3 x SE's side by side!
Guess which one won?
Then one of his customers came in excited by his "nokia-tooth" headset on his 3610... while he was talkin' did a quick scan and...
GOT HIM !!
with 'Buy Sony Ericsson' ("got no cherry no mo' ").
Zak other Melb. sites... Collins St., Toorak Rd., Casino, Telstra Shops...????
WHADDYA RECKON?

@ JohnM ; Yeh they do know they get Bjacked in there cuz I was playin with a p800 and a guy went over to the prinet and found a bout 20 print offs from where Sman had been sending contacts, he was looking round to see who it was and saw me playing on their p800, he had his customer service hat on though and was like it's kool, print off as much as you want! They must get hit quite badly in there though.
I think they would get annoyed if we put Sman on though, and to top it off install "screenlock" so they wouldn't know how to unlock the phone with the jog dial commands, might even think it was off apart from the flashin lights.
Also Ajack, about Sman, it did seems to crash whilst I was in the store quite a few times, wether it was due to the printer or some other phone I'm not sure... Have you come accross this? |

Can anyone tell, how Fukias recieve the contacts, cuz my S55 gets this: 'sony ericsson, buy', when I want to send 'buy sony ericsson'.
When I had my jacks, found a T610. How is that possible? I thought that se phones are only for 3 minutes discoverable and I don't think he/she jacked too, cuz here in hungary nooene knows what is.

For T610, the phone is visible for as long as you set it
