next time mine dies its going and not coming back it will be the 7th one i had since launch day, oh and 3 different accounts cause the first 2 vanished, get mine back from my mates soon cat wait to get this pot of my hand

Actually I wish mine had the RRoD!
I gotta pay for my repair... and the PS3 is looking good to me right about now.

How come you have to pay? How many times has it been repaired?
Only a pal of mine is on his 4th, and they wanted to charge him, but he kicked up a right fuss, and they honoured it.

Have to pay as it's out of warranty and it's not the RRoD, problem with the drive telling me to insert the disc into an XBOX360 console.
The extended 3 years doesn't cover that :\\

Then wrap it in a towel and give it the RROD

My mates never had the RRoD problem either, but after being on his 4th console, he kicked off, and got it for gratis.

Actually El Robin... you might have a plan there.
Because I'm only going to sell it or not have it repaired and just let it gather dust, how exactly would I induce the RRoD and have M$ repair it? If I soak it I'm sure they'd catch on all too quickly.

arien switch it on and wrap it in about 3 or 4 towels leave it for about half hour n it should be 3 red's

yep!
Why not mate, do it, if you got 3 red lights then when they get it you'll get some other refurbished one, fixing your dvd drive problem.
