I seriously wish Maeda Atsuko or akb48 can be the brand ambassador for Sony
They can just bundle the phone with some collectibles for the fans (or at least use Sony phones in their MVs).
But again, akb's fanbase is not as strong if we compare it to k-pop groups.

Just my two cents

God no! As much as I like AKB and Acchan, I do not want SONY products to be associated with cutesy and girly unless they have a product targeted at those genre or they do it right without it!

the RAM thing is one of the major issue with android system.. being not able to achieve efficient user experience and keep increasing the minimum requirements is just making it looks worse and heavy. even with such heavy OS like Windows.. it really sucks, i mean i was using only 2GB of ram with i7 920 on my PC for two years.. heavy usage, plenty of designing works and of course gaming. works like a charm

asking for more ram will just make the developers more lazy, pushing the boundaries should be only for CPU, GPU and the OS that can squeeze every penny of it.. if one of them fail to achieve that efficient everything else will be just a waste and useless

Don't know about you, but I use upward of 6GB of ram with my i7 920, sometimes I go pass 8GB and this is with browsers alone, lucky I have 12GB in my rig. Though I am looking to tighten the timing of my ram to make it perform faster, and my year end goal is push my i7 920 to 4.5ghz stable with as little overvolt as possible.

@>>SAMEH Windows since 7 has been getting lighter. Android seems to be going the same way. Google is adding features using apps now and is focusing on optimizing the OS with each version. But even optimization has its limits.

Sorry
I have a crazy thinking

But it is just pure thinking, what if Sony already have 2 versions of Honami the one you all saw and Honami-L the one that I saw, and they for example will show us Honami tomorrow as they can start early chasing with SS-S4 and postponed the Honami-L after the iPhone 5S as it is compact and it's size simply just as ZL in tall and width but more thickness which then be another impact to chase the iPhone from the first day

Sounds plausible, would love it to go that way!

Maia, your thoughts sounds possible however,Zomg has mentioned there is no waterproof in the L version,so what does it indicate, water proof honami or non-water proof Honami and the only confuses is we have one leaked pic(refreshed Z) Back and another back is not leaked(assume L version),so I feel this may be chance we can see first with refreshed Z tom and L may be after Ip5s release,it answers your thoughts as per my thoughts on your thoughts

totally i need to wait for tom,GN............

An unknown guy called soulrebel1 posted on the XDA forum telling that Honami will have 5.4"" screen... WTF??? hope it's not true!!! for me 5" it's perfect... The Z feels great in my hand... but the Note for example are way too big... I really hope it's just a random guy talking shit...

GUYS... Ramu/Maia/Unknown ecc... ecc... do you know anything about this rumor? I want it to be classified under XR0 (or truly really false chitchat)

Fake. The guy mentions the rumour started from Techtudo. The funny thing is that it never said a word about screen size.

It's the issue of being power optimized multi tasking system with semi-virtualization...

In Windows or any desktop OS, when you run multiple apps, you run them on the RAM, and the CPU process all the info...

In Android, the SoC isn't powerful enough to handle multiple apps, and if you force it, it will consume a lot of power... this is why it suspend the application but still keeps it in the RAM...
but Why Android seems to use a lot of RAM compared to desktop OS ?

coz Android is using the Dalvik VM to run it's applications... and it's a fact that VM's uses more RAM and a little bit CPU overhead ( it's a little for Android, but some VM uses a lot of CPU power, like emulation based VM )...

look for iOS for example, it uses native code ( no VM ) that's why it needs less RAM... and being low on RAM limits it's ability to have a more multitasking experience like what Android is capable of... but the main reason is not using a VM... an iPhone with 512MB or 1GB of RAM is very speedy and fast...

Optimization can do miracles, but optimization are hard and needs a lot of time... that's why Android while being in version 4.2 now still there's a lot of headroom for optimizations...
