@Scotsboy. Would that be R3K004? What I like about the S700 is the way the volume buttons swap over when the phone is closed or open. That's what I call attention to detail. I also like the way you can still make a call or listen to the radio when browsing Wap. What are your favourite aspects of the S700?
@Supra2800 what on earth are Cowboy Pants?

I like the design, it is very eye catching. The multitasking ability is also very nice, it really rather useful.
@supra
I think I prefer 'cowboy pants' to 'jeans'.

My favorite features that my s700i have are the following:
1.) When you sms someone, the screen will give you options whether to go to phone look up/enter number/and lists your most texted contacts. Very useful feature!
2.)When you want to mms someone with a 1.3 mp photo, it will resize the photo to a medium sized pic. Some SE phones will just warn you that the pic is too large for mms sending.
3.) You don't have to swivel your phone up to access messages/contacts/organizer/browser..etc.
4.) Excellent quality pics
Features i hoped s700i had:
1.) Photo Editting software
2.) Full screen video playback

@Supra2800. I think I like Cowboy Pants better too
@Steele,, yeah and when the phone is sending for receiving a large MMS which takes about 30 s you can still send texts. Very capable..
The file manager is a useful addition as well as being able to create your own folders.
Being able to put the radio on loud-speaker is cool too. The loud speaker is surprisingly good.
Oh, and someone mentioned the fact that when you are playing long videos there is the inability to pause them without stopping them completely.
Well, if you play the videos using the media-player all videos can be paused at any time.

I think thats only on R3B software. I tested mine last night with R3K and videos encoded with PVAuthor (read more at my site http://kawagpz.dk/default.asp?pageid=34 ) - and before with R3B, the lights would go out every 4-5 minutes and typical at 10-15 minutes the video would stop but audio continues. With R3K, the lights is on all the time, and the video never pauses - it just keep going like it should |

@Supra2800, thanks for that. I will encode later on. My S700 is on R3E. I can't find anywhere local to have my firmware upgrade and I am thinking of travelling to get it done. |

My S700 has blown up
I took it to my local service center and they've sent it off to the manufacturer cos they can't sort it
Gotta make do with my P900 (Hate that phone ) and my excellent Samsung D500.
I miss my S700

Nah.
It went pop and bang with some smoke coming out the rear by the speaker. Made a painful squeeling noise just before it happened as well. The repair center said it would only need a software upgrade but looks like it needs more. Thought it would be something serious with the smoke bit. Probably something blown on the cicruit board or something.

They did'nt say how long. They just told me it's gone back to manufacturer cos they don't stock the parts to repair it.
I took my P900 in for a problem with the casing. The clip that holds the jog dial onto the phone's casing had stressed/broken causing the dial to move inwards and not work properly. I mentioned what was wrong and handed it over. I got it back today and they said they had fitted a new jog dial. After checking the phone the dial was the same one and if they had actually opened up the phone they would have seen the problem which they have'nt done.
