So if this gem of a phone is released next week, how many of you guys will be getting one?
I know I'll be in the phone shop willing to part with some cash

I am seriously thinking of selling my htc One so I can get this beauty. Though I will take a good look at in store before committing myself. If the display is as good if not better than the One then I won't be able to resist. Build quality looks superb on this device too.

so how will note 3 play the 4k videos it takes?
now how will it take a 4k video if it even struggles to play one? |

^ I think it might just be a software problem, wrong video codec or something like that (software vs hardware codec).
The S800 shouldn't have any difficulties with that, even running Touchwiz
@Del:
I'm definitely getting the Xperia Z1, but I'll wait a bit.

for god sake, the low light photos of the lumia 1020 were taken with 4 s shutter speed!
we need a review in actual day to day use, really life usage! not with tripod!
because to be honest, who the heck has a tripod for smartphones?
it defeats its purpose in being mobile!
p.s. as we know, that is not the final version of the camera software for the z1.
p.s2. obviously the lumia 1020 have the advantage of bigger sensor, but in real life usage, like snap and shoot, i think the z1 outperforms the lumia.
if you buy a lumia 1020 just to go shooting on tripod, you will better off with a nex-3 as it will cost you 1/2 the price of the lumia...

Yes that is a good point actually.
If you have your tripod with you.....why exactly are you taking photos with the Lumia 1020? Why don't you have your DSLR? |

probably super low bit rate, they take it to their advantage that most note 3 owners probably dont have a 4k tv or mon yet to they only watch the video on their phone down sample to 1080p for until the day they they got a 4k tv and able to watch the video they have taken, then they realize it was a marketing scam. By then Sammy already got your money by then, they don't care.

Roll on Friday cant wait to pick up my Z1 and free QX10 Smart Lens. My Xperia Z has been a faithful companion and I took my first underwater selfie with it but the good time are about to become great times.
I'm so happy 'cause today I've found my friends ... They're in my head

our Xperia Z1 review model, although it was standard black, still revealed a unique design, especially when compared to the iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S4, which probably would fail to turn heads in the street - unlike the Xperia Z1.
Sony claims that the Xperia Z1's 5in 1080x1920 display is one of the handset's big selling points, and we'd have to agree with it.
That's not to say that the Xperia Z1's capacitive touchscreen doesn't have its faults. The 5in display doesn't have the widest viewing angles and becomes very washed out at wide angles. However, its not often that you'll find yourself wanting to look at your smartphone from such an oblique viewing angle, so we didn't deduct any points from the Xperia Z1's review score for this reason. That said, the Xperia Z1's screen is almost unusable in bright sunlight, despite seeming very bright indoors.
34k+ antutu benchmark
Images taken in brightly lit conditions looked great, and the camera doesn't perform badly in low lighting either, although it's not quite on a par with the camera on the Nokia Lumia 1020.

so, anyone reckon we should stay away from the 1st batch considering the issue with screen lottery?
