Mobile phone is now a part of our life, its a necessity, it goes wherever we go. As we all know, cellphone theft is rampant in our country and its number grows exponentially.
Worse, we will never know when we will become a victim so, it is time to protect our valuable investment.
Bulldog is a solution that secures your mobile phone against theft, it automatically reports when your mobile phone was stolen. When activated it emits loud barking sound that is enough to attract people surrounding the thief and all keys will not function accordingly.

my p800 was stolen from me nov. last year. ive been waiting for an app like this to come out. although i was hoping that someone would come up with an app that makes the phone explode (with the force of not one but five TNTs) in front of the thief's face. or one that makes the phone explode (with the force of not one but five kg. of C4). or one that makes the phone explode... but that event is behind me right now.
i'll settle with the "arf! arf!" or "woof! woof!" thing.
my question: IS THIS FOOLPROOF?
not the "arf! arf!" thing.
but the one that renders the keypad useless.
can the genius minds of those greenhills techies still come up with a solution to reactivate the phone again?
how does the app exactly work?
on future upgrades, can we expect an auto-detonate feature to discourage cellphone theft? hehe. kiddin'.

i'm just wondering, if it's an installed app, couldn't a firmware reflashing delete it? well i guess it's better than nothing... |

Hi galore,
Love your sense of humor... come to think of it we've also thought of that.. "the exploding thing" but its pretty far fetched as of the moment.
The solution is not 100% full-proof but, what we can really do is give them several hurdles to jump over first before they can easily sell your phone again in the market. Like what senninha said... "it's better than nothing..."
The application bulldog is very similar to an Alarm System installed in your vehicle. Installing an Alarm doesn't give us 100% security but, we'll sure give the thief a hard time reselling our investment in the market.
We are currently working with the providers so, when our phone is stolen we can easily report our IMEI to the operators and make them unusable in the Philippines.
Cheers,
Boogs
