@ghostfreek
Almost definately! Hopefull when the FAR plug-in gets an update they can incorporate the K800, and therefore we can increase quality with that too.

Well Guys ...
As far as the pic quality goes it will takes good pics no doubt as I have already previously placed pics taken by the K800i.
Taking pics is like an art, ... you should know how to take pics properly as any tom can take pics ...
Right now wait for the 26th and let the proper K800i be released ... as the European ver. hasn't been released and we have some ver. in Hong Kong & Norway ... sheesh .. !!!
Cheers ... |

I have Cingular. I am waiting for the k790. I was hoping the a version (more US friendly than the i) would shortly follow in terms of release.
Thanks for the tip though, I would hate to buy a phone that my network couldn't carry properly |

n93's camera take pictures far better than K800/K790. its quality is comparable to stand alone digital camera! finally, thank you nokia for taking advantage of that Carl Zeiss lens.
check it out at mobile-review.com and see what i'm talking about. i'm an avid SE fan but this time it's the matter of lense being used!

@senninha - I'm aware of the of the official specs on the SE site, however if you look back in this thread as well as on some other forums, there are several K790's out there that ARE quad band. I want to verify that the finally released version will also be so, kind of like the W600. |

I'm with you sasha-se !
this phone sucks!!
And i hope it sells bad, so that SE quits the marketing strategy and starts to make quality phones again. |

What exactly sucks about the phone? I think you're blaming the quality of the pictures on the phone, where as from what I can see it's the user who's at blame. People don't realise that this phone (JUST like the K750) has FIXED Aperature and it is FIXED at F2.8. What that means is that you have VERY Shallow Depth of Field. What that means is that the area you can focus on can't be too deep (can't have a line of trees going away from the phone), because the focus will be on One tree and the rest will be blured. This what I"m seeing in the photos above. I can find in each of them the one element which is in focus and see how everything else closer/further from the camera is blurred. Until they come up with phones with various aperature, I don't think this will change. |

Tervel what You saw in the pics above was the bug in k800i, where autofocus works bad and sometimes focueses to "close view" which makse the whole photo blurry, just check EXIT data. |

maybe some people just got unlucky..
like, i remember when the K750 first came out, a lot of the ones in the first batch had a bad camera module that produced lots of blur and blur spots and stuff. but then the people who bought them a few months after release have great camera modules that take perfect pictures.
K800 is on the first batch right now... so wait a few weeks/months and if the pictures are still that bad, then yes blame the phone. |
