Feck that!
You'd be better off with a MacBook Pro!
It's slim enough! And think of what's missing from the air! Basic shite like changing yer own battery!

Good god how thin is that macbook air! The no optical drive is rather rubbish but wow!
Luke i agree the price differences are really starting to annoy me now, although i can see myself getting a macbook air in July in NYC will be alot cheaper across the pond so to speak.

Having second thoughts now... Mono speakers??? What? Also, I'm not sure about this new magsafe. Look like "uncomfortable" if you like your machine on your lap. Don't like the new keyboard layout. By the time I've managed to learn the MacBook's I have to learn a new one. It seems like there is nothing is user upgradeable. I mean, I can't be sure, I don't want 4gig memory in the future and a larger capacity hard drive. OK, maybe the HDD is not that important, since I've decided to get this Time Capsule thingy. There is one more thing. Will this thing be powerfull enough to play 1080p HD videos?

the macbook air is perfect for me. Something nice, slim, fast enough and great for a traveler like me.

I think I use a cd/dvd in my mac only a few times a year, seems like a good idea removing it.
Interesting to see apple support blue ray, im quite glad they did that.
I think the air is really designed for someone such as myself, and amnesia as we are always on the go and just want something light and fast. I would get one if I didnt have a mbp which is pretty much good enough for me
Check out my sales I am a mac fanboy . I will honor Laffens gift of P990 flip free avartar, but I sold the p990 |

I guess 80gb is pretty good for such a slim device and i'm sure in the future it will be improved, can't believe how slim it is, just crazy.
Anyhow is was wondering is there a way to merge both ichat and jabber buddy lists into one window at all? I've added my msn contacts using this guide but it is a pain having separate windows.

Time capsule looks tempting...
And would look good in place of my dusty old Belkin router...
Though I need to save up after getting the mac :\\

seriously running out of space on el Mac...
Do I really need to keep a folder called "Previous Systems" on Mac HDD? it's a good 10gb big and frankly I could use the space!
only things on my mac are OS, a few apps that won't move to ext hdd and music, everything else is on my ext hdd but my 250gb HDD is showing less than 10gb free (and yes we all know why that is, but an extra fw gbs for music would be grand!)
ta! or anything else I can do to free up space? like a defrag on windoze?

Im quite happy there isn't a new macbook pro out lol, i only got mine in August.
The new air is nice but for me i need a bit more than just a screen and keyboard. My MBP is thin enough for me.
I can see the air being very popular with people who travel a lot.

@p900.. Can you open zips?
And is it possible to buy from iTunes even if there is no money or payment method connected to your account? I have a registered billing address etc.
