I wish people just ignored the trolls instead of trying to reason with them.

So far the reaction to Honami's leaks have been so negative. Everyone is bashing it for huge bezels, high pixel count etc. Seems like people liked Z a lot more. It seems to be a flop before it even gets announced.
Whaaaat?... Here in Italya the reaction has clearly been positive ht emain site are Androidiani, Telefonino.net and HDblog and I post more or less in every post Sony and HTC related there... and trust me that the reaction has really been positive... obviously with someone complaining
Obviously if you cite PhoneArena it's clear that they are bashing the Honami... that place it's Samsung Fan Nest
PS: GUYS SO EXCITED! I WANT IT TO BE ANNOUNCED ON THE 4TH OF JULY!!! I CAN'T STAND ANYMORE WAITING
AND THE FACT THAT THE CAMERA SPECS ARE XR5 JUST BRING FUEL TO THE ALREADY OVER-BURNING FIRE!

what's the size of 1 minute 4k video?
Edit: I found it
1sec ~48 MB
then a 64GB memory can storage only 20 minute 4K video
and more important it needs at least 48MB/s Write speed
but I think some 20 minutes worth it

That means that only internal memories will be able to hold it... Normal MicroSD, Class 10 has generally 10 Mb/s write speeds...

Seems grossly underestimated; can I have a link for that number? |

Impossible. With some calculations I came to the fact that with 64 Gb I can record "only" 10 hours with my S, considering a test I've done before that I've used almost 2 Gb for 20 min of recording. FullHD...

uh...
how are you calculating guys?
if 1 minute 4K video = 45MB (assuming best encoding)
then 20 minutes = 20 X 45MB = 900MB or about ~1GB.
a 64GB card would be able to store 20 X 64 = 1280 minutes or 21 HOURS (which seems a little crazy to me).
I looked it up the other day. The current 4K Camcorders come equipped with 32GB cards and store about 2 hours worth of video. I don't recall the type of encoding they use, but that's what you can expect.
Of course, this is taking into account the write speeds are sufficient.

48MB/minute is an impossible number. Maybe using H.265 but even that's a long shot.
That would make a 2h movie at 4K about 6GB which is even less than blue ray movies. |

yeap that makes more sense.
here's the info from a JVC 4K Camcorder:
so if honami is capable of h.264 encoding with HDMI output for direct to TV then awesome!
4K Recording: 3,840 x 2,160
MPEG-4 AVC/H.264(.MP4) 4 Stream Separate Recording 60fps/50fps/24fps Progressive at 144Mbps
4K recording for up to 2 hours (32GB SDHC, x4)

Question on the still image side of things, a bit off topic but appreciate insights from people more photo literate than I am.
If the sensor has 20MP, what possibilities does it offer in post processing?
I understand that I have more choice to crop the images, but aren't they other advantages?
For instance, does it make a difference for noise reduction, via noise averaging or are they ways to combine pixels in post processing to reduce noise, hence allow shooting at higher ISO?
Anything you know or links is appreciated.
I think it is a bit on topic because if 20mp is a rumored feature now xr5, then the advantages that can be derived from it are also a feature.
Thanks

^ of course.. if Nokia can combine 7 to 1 from 38Mpix down to 5Mpix I don't see why you can't do 3 to 1 from a 20Mpix sensor.
just like it does with jpegs, the pixel oversampling helps a lot with the size of the video files. A 1 hour video in identical conditions, especially at night where there is more noise to be cleaned out, would be ~100-300 mb larger on my iPhone 5 than on my 808.
