Sad to hear about Colin McRae this morning, truly awesome rally driver. What makes it even worse is that his son was also on that helicopter.
@da krypsta: This apps were transferred to my phone via thus they were stored in the mail folders of the C drive...even discovered a 1MB video I thought had been deleted.
Off topic: Saw an ad for the P1i in the Mail & Guardian this Friday, hopefully thats a good omen for those planning to get the phone.

@ Jojo,
LOL.
Hope hugh having a good Sundae too matey.
@ all,
Last night I had my first experience with dealing with eBay/ Paypal scammers.
I received an email from Paypal US saying that I had paid $149.95 for a NEC handheld PC! I do purchase stuff from eBay US now and again, but certainly not this item...
Now it addressed me inside the email by my first name and last name (as Paypal does), plus all the genuine Paypal stuff on the email, and I do have a fair eye for attention to detail.
My initial alarm bell rang when it said that if I have not authorised the payment, I had to follow a link provided. As there was still no private info given and thinking that Paypal had possibly picked up that it was perhaps a scam, I clicked on the link to see what next steps. The 'Paypal' link wanted my details to 'verify' before proceeding further. Wanqa smells a rat, so I check with other Paypal emails to me. Sure enough, the Paypal layout, 'secure' details etc all seem genuine, except that they don't ever ask if I'm disputing the transaction, accompanied by a link..
I check the eBay listed item code in the email, to verify if the product and details do exist. Yes it does; there's 20 of these PDA's being sold.
And then, amongst the account details requested, the scamming scum was stupid enough to ask for ATM number. Bingo. As you know, that would NEVER be asked. I phone Paypal. They closed at 10pm and it's well past 12am. I'm not gonna sleep unless I know that my accounts haven't been hacked. (as it seems Paypal US may have been as well...)I phone the bank, which fortunately have people answering 24 hours a day. I explain the situation. They verify that no funds totalling that amount have gone out and that they would block anything related to that, but would require immediate cancellation of my debit card and a new one sent to me within 3-4 working days. So be it. Fortunately we have a joint account, so I'll just use the other card in the meantime.
Before getting to bed, I change my Paypal password too.
This morning I phone Paypal and eventually get through. Seems like there's lots of this going on this weekend... Email was forwarded to their 'spoof' team to try and track down the fraudsters and address this type of problem/s quickly.
So some precious time, inconvenience and unnecessary stress caused by some dreg/s of humanity.
I just pity those that were not sharp enough and filled out the 'Paypal security verification' stuff, out of desperation or anxiety to quickly 'resolve' the unauthorised payment...
People that do things like this to innocent people seriously don't bring out the best in me.
That disbanded, famous metal band 'Pantera', have a song called '5 Minutes Alone'...
Now where's my knopkierie...

Ya Jmash, one by one mfowethu.
But these cyber scamming scumbags are getting pretty sophisticated; the level of authenticity within that 'Paypal' email details is kinda disturbing...
Gotta be so damn careful nowadays.

I've noticed that www.bidorbuy.co.za have started advising users to check the domain name in the address bar when logging onto the site... the practice of cybertheft seems to be all too common... Close call there Wanqa, glad you immediately cottoned onto those twats. Help yourself to an induku, ikaka and a kierie or two Brix and i will hold them still while you and Bra J take potshots at their tender parts

@da wanqa: Good checking out there, personally I haven't used my Paypal account for over a year, and when I did I always got phising emails.
Scammers should be shot, the method they tried was quite sneaky- soneone not clued up about their methods would probably have gone through verifying his/her details.
@HOBBS: Jou yster!!! You're probably watching the cricket...how was that Flintoff wicket. I'm stuck at work, else it would've been Newlands this evening.

Another win over the English in the cricket.Nice one.Does anyone in here use Skype on their PC's to converse? Was at a childrens birthday party yesterday and the twin brother of the father who was throwing the party who lives in England was able to join the party by just setting up the webcam and putting him on loudspeaker and just staying connected. Was wierd.Everytime you walked past the monitor there was his brother, wife and kid sitting in their lounge in England looking in and talking to us in South Africa.Awesome technology.
