Funny thing is, 3650's probably a regular user who's too scared to use his usual account to speak his mind, which is sad really. And it's a fact that most people don't have a clue what bluetooth does, never mind what bluejacking is. I don't even read instructions for anything anymore, I figure it out then read to see if I missed anything. It's places like this that make people aware of it, they try it and tell their friends, the person who gets jacked looks perplexed 90% of the time. But once you've done them once they'll go and figure out what happened and try it themselves etc........

This thread used to be about bluejacking but now it seems to be about slaging off Nokia |

search on google for redfang. it uses the security holes to discover phones that have BT on just for paired devices (alas BT on choice in SE phones).. maybe we could port that to p800 |

Phew, just read all 65 pages, that was epic. Took me about 3 days to finish. Can't wait to get back to England on Friday and go bluejacking down Northumberland Street. Havn't found one person with BT in 2 months in Canada. |

@HellFire:
No thanks man... that is like putting turd (aka "shit" or "a piece of fanny") on your doorstep. No way!....
@dr2:
The probability of finding something is just too big, the user will most probably be out of range before you could find it. It works if you get a hit, but very unlikely.
@all:
In rememberence of "3650roks" I will now end each post with "NOk*a sux" to remind myself that the 3650sux.
Ohhh.... NOk*a sux...

K, not been following this thread for a while but had an Idea the other day. There's a store in nottingham that is the best for bluejacking, i think it's been mentioned on here before. It has a BT printer, and about 6 BT phones all on display and on.
now I walked in and all the phones went crazy (had SMan Bjacking in my pocket)... then I realised what If you go to the p800 that's on display, install Sman via a sis file and start it running, then leave!!
The printer would get the same message all day! and so wud all the other phones!!
I can't remember the name of the shop but it's big and green and a pretty nice phone shop.
If anyones gonna do it let me know and I'll go watch! lol... |

NOk*a user bluejacking NOk*as?!?!?! That's like being a cannibal man!
NOok 3650 being stable? Maybe the user's perception is like that, Droll and I have seen tons to Series 60 developers complaining that they need to put "band aid" into their code for something to work as the libraries/components are so unstable and not reliable at all. |
|
ues! i am a cannibal. guys i still love SE, its just that the T610 disappointed me with a shitty camera and so little memory. i want a smartphone, but p800 is just too expensive (i'm a student).
but i like my 3650 very much, one of the only good nokias. tried the rest, and it is shite, but 3650 is different, trust me, but only if you know how to use it. i install/uninstall programs on there all the time and have not once had to format it or the MMC card, i see a lot more problems with p800 from what i read here (but would still like one!). i will diss other nokia phones with you all freely, but 3650 is different, trust me.
things it has over the p800:
better rf
MMC = cheaper than memorystick DUOs
better camera
more stable (for me anyway)
can record videos (think p800 may have that now though)
as for design, speed, memory and all else, p800 kicks its ass, but still, it can compete. and for the price its going for it can't be beat, but thats only cuz its so ugly and big. but i don't care, i prefer function over form.
sorry not trying to diss SE and be some nokia-lover but i can't let you totally diss the 3650. it is the ONE phone nokia has done something right on, far from perfect, but its one step closer. |

Hey all,
I was sat in the VIP section of a night club last night and whipped out the Ipaq and scanned the room. I got 4 Brokia's and send them the usual crap, but what I really wanted to do was start calling people form their phones.
THERE MUST BE A WAY AROUND HAVING TO PARTNER WITH THE BRICK |

wat u were trying to do was effectively a search for devices. You then attempted to connect or pair with the device.
For jackin, u can do a search but that's just to identify the availablility of other devices within the vicinity of your phone.
Wat u want to do is send a contact, sms, note, pix to the other device. In which case, u should already haf the contact, sms, note, pix ready. Select the item, press option key and choose send via , the phone will perform a search and list the devices available. Choose the targeted device and click ok to send......
happy hunting.....

I can send contact,note,pic,ringtone by bluetooth but i can send SMS by bluetooth. I don't have the option to send sms by bluetooth I only have print via bluetooth for SMS is this the same as send sms via bluetooth? |
