For me, it comes down to the pictures and the screen. I don't really care much about the body anymore. 20MP and yada yada yada. I've seen it all before. If the camera ain't much better than what the Note 3 can produce, and Sony sticks with the same terrible screen trend of theirs, the Note 3 will be my next phone and not Xperia anything. In fact, the camera has to be significantly better, as I far prefer the newest AMOLED screens, which are even more color accurate than all the other IPS screens available on a phone. And Sony is still stuck with that ugly, hazy launcher with thin text and faux elegance.

So why are you posting here? To get a reaction from Sony fans? Basically admitting to trolling?

And since when are the newest AMOLED screens more color accurate than all the other IPS screens? Galaxy S4 lost to iPhone 5 in Display Mates test. Thats a regular LG/Sharp IPS screen that is simply calibrated, IPS screens are also significantly brighter

The writing is on the wall for Samsung. Their sales predictions have been slashed by roughly 20% and their stocks dropped by more than 6%. Sooner or later people would get tired of buying the same plastic cheap looking phone that lags even on the latest CPUs. You can expect Note 3 to look like Note 2 with 2013 specs, except it will be slower because of Samsungs bloated mess they call Touchwiz

And now that Apple signed a deal with TSMC, you can expect even less innovations from Samsung since they wont have access to Apples hardware anymore

LOL I upgrade my phone every 2 years, since unlike you guys, I live in a country where sim-free (unlocked) devices make up the majority of the crowd, and our network operators here mainly sells Samsung Galaxies and iPhones with little to no appreciation for the rest of the brands including my favorite Sony :'( getting a sim-free Honami would be ridiculously expensive on my part, and I'll be darned if One Sony 2 arrives months just after I got it

and ugh: It's pretty obvious Katamari loves trolling with us "fanboys" (and I hereby admit I am a diehard Sony Fag,.. I mean Fan ) that's why I never take his post seriously, not sure what he's doing here anyway, he'd be better off posting his long opinion at GSMArena, there he might meet some friends

It's really time to change my phone...! and I really think it will be a brandless Honami

Any news on the charger? If there are magnetic ports then a magnetic charger like you get on a MacBook would be way better than opening up a flap everyday. I don't want to have to buy the dock because it'll be quite expensive.

Also, the mystery device with the huge camera that dominates that back, any more details?

What is the purpose of a Xperia Z2 coming with Honami? Since both are bound to be high end, people with the cash would go for Honami which I expect to be better leaving Xperia Z2 in the dark. What is the thinking behind this?

I'm loving the new UI on the Honami, it's great that we're going back to the awesome days of Flat UI, I have to commend Microsoft for pushing the trend

I heard the Sensor used by Honami will be called IMX200, though I tried to search through Sony semiconductors website and found nothing, I hope that website would disclose the details soon

The analysis who wrote the article only mentioned Sony as an threat. PA being PA have to play down Sony's success by mentioning HTC.

CNET UK /Asia do mention Xperia news time to time. It's the parent main site that always feels the world revolves round USA.

At this point there has been a landslide of information.
Honami looks really promising, and it is highly likely that I'll be buying it later this year.

Also @Katamari. Its clear that you don't actually want an Xperia device. That much has been clear since you started posting here. So why are you even here? Why don't you just hang around in the Note III section of the forum, because its clear that the Note III is what you're actually interested in.
I very much doubt that there is anything Sony can do to win your money, because you're a Samsung enthusiast.

I can't wait for Thursday. Honami is going to be one hell of a phone by the sounds of things.

There are already well over 120 people viewing this thread and there are still 4 days to go.

yea, thursday is gonna be awesome. of course it will be the middle of the night for me, so i won't find out any news til i wake up. i think everyone is expecting to see honami unveiled since that is what is flying around the web right now.

if randomuser is right, a lot of people are gonna be sorely disappointed. hopefully they don't take out that disappointment on sony on social media.

I'm happy to see Honami to have some of the Alpha DSLT features such as the handheld twilight. I like this feature especially at night/dark environment without using flash. It takes the advantage of the fast shutter speed to take 6 pictures at once and merge them into one bright picture. There are some other good features of the DSLT and hoping sony can bring all of them...hehe

HHT is actually present on Cybershot compacts as well but for a certain camera to use this feature properly, It needs to be capable of at least 6fps burst. so if HHT is confirmed to be available on Honami then it should also bring high speed burst along with it

I'm also having doubts about Honami showing up at 7-4 Paris event, ramu once mentioned August as the most probable launch date for Honami and I trust his words there

So it's just Honami that's supposed to be announced on Thursday, right?
