It will be a huge mistake if they release Z refresh before Honami; Everybody would think that's honami and get dissaoointed and they will loose potential Honami sales. |

^yea.. disappointed until sony slaps the real honami in their face.. they won't lose sales. the hype will just die down a bit, but it will jump right back once honami appears. though, we still don't know if there is an actual z refresh AND honami or if they are one and the same. or Z refresh just doesn't exist.

^ that 3D effect exists in the JB update already.. and so do many of the themes.

but the 3D effect was different
HERE IS THE OLD ONE
HERE IS THE NEW ONE
and also the themes and backgrounds
OLD ONE
NEW ONE
The new ones are more streamlined and simple... but I really hope that the old one will still be avaible, because I really liked them!

We know Sony already has integration for Dual Shock 3 on Xperias, so it's pretty much a certainty that Honami will have support for both Dual Shock 3 and 4
PSN accounts may be limited to accessing Playstation Mobile though. I still dream of the day when Sony works out a way to get Vita games working on their mobile phones, but I don't think that'll be happening here.

Just a bit OT, but picture in your mind Sony coming out with a Playstation Phone next year. It's got all the tech and design language of Honami (even better since it's a later device) and runs a highly customized Playstation OS and has the ability to play all PSP games, PS1 games, PS Mini games, PS Mobile games and PS Vita games. Physical controls too, of course.
With Sonys push for indie developers to make games for Playstation, this would be THE phone to get for gamers.
So yep, keeping that dream alive |

Question related to this whole possibility of 4K video recording on Honami. One would assume that if Sony were building a phone with the ability to record in 4K they would give that phone the ability to output 4K direct to a TV. Sure you could transfer to a PC and go from there, but it would be nice and make sense to go straight from phone to TV if possible.
So the question is if Honami uses just MHL output, is it capable of outputting 4K? Or would Sony need to put an HDMI port on Honami to make this work? |

BTW, Does the walkman app support Google Music ?

Yeah, almost forgot about that.
Now that the Walkman app will support Music Unlimited I might have to think about resubbing when my current subscription lapses in a few months. I got to take advantage of that deal last year where you get a 1 year premium sub for $12. Hopefully they have some sort of discount planned for later. Maybe to correspond with the PS4 launch |

@vivftp MHL standard only supports up to 1080p at 60fps with 7.1 digital surround sound. So, from that alone, it does not support 4K. I think that even though the capability is there, it won't be enabled simply due to the fact that there isn't really a support system to put it to any good use. Sure the TV's exist, but they aren't widely adopted. and mobile storage just isn't big enough to make recording many 4K videos feasible. Just my opinion, I think they won't enable the feature. But we'll see. Either way, HDMI wll be required for output to a TV.
@xajel - i don't know for sure, but i don't think it does or that it will. sony will probably only integrate it with music unlimited. google's music service has it's own player and app anyway and i don't think they are working together enough to mix the two. Google's music app uses the equalizer settings from the walkman app and you can listen to songs stored on the phone, thus making the walkman app redundant in those aspects. The only reason you'd want to use the walkman app is for the interface design alone.

I wouldn't count it out yet just because 4K TVs are still relatively new. Sony is probably one company with the largest overall 4K push on the planet right now. Ranging from 4K movie cameras to 4K movie projectors, 4K professional displays, 4K home projectors, 4K home TVs, 4K streaming solution on the way, 4K home video cameras on the way, and of course 4K support built into things like their bluray players. If Honami has a sophisticated enough sensor then why not include it? The S800 processor supports it, so this is the perfect device to launch it on.
These days Sony seems to be about pushing the tech envelope even further (even moreso than Sony of old it seems) and they like being able to claim that their device is the worlds first to support such an such tech or features. It would be a crowning achievement to announce the worlds first 4K cell phone camera IMO. |

@moogoo, Thanks bro, but after a little search... No as there's no Play Music API available...
the other problem is even the offline musics are stored in app data space, so no other app can access these also ( unless rooted )
I used Play Music in the first time as it's the only service I found that I could register on it even though it's still not available in my country/region... the same goes for Music Unlimited...
All I want is a streaming service, I don't care about being able to buy from it or not ( As almost all what I have isn't available in any music service ), but I want to upload my library and stream it to any device... and this is what Play Music is providing...
For Play Music, I used a VPN app to have a US IP, then I opened Play Music website and that's it ( I just have to accept the agreement in order to activate it )... I don't know if this will work with Music unlimited... but I won't be interested in it if I can't upload my current library...
