OMG you guys will not believe what i just saw...
I have this new client, he works for a modeling agency and we were in a meeting and as the meeting ended his mobile phone rang (ringg riingg) and guess what he pulls from his laptop bag?
A NOKIA 2110
This guy has a 20k Apple powerbook, and he still uses a bloody 2110 (those 1990`s bricks)
ANyway, apparently he hasnt upgraded his contract phone since he got the phone in the 90`s

@Rhino Geez,I can't believe it.I think that BLOKIA have some sort of sentimental value to the guy.Just think about it,a 20k laptop coupled with a BLOKIA 2110,strange phenomenon I say,and a ring ring tone a that! My Boss still use his 3410 to this day.Well he's an oldie as long as the thing make & receive call,he's got all he needs in a cellular phone. Some people!!! So Rhino, did you openly laugh @ the guy or did you open you mouth in awe & lost for words?

@HOBBS: I'm still here, just got distracted by work and the fairer sex.
Got my brand new phone from the guys at Vodacare this morning. One thing I like is that the phone came without external branding although the Vodafone firmware is still there. Last week my old phone died a sudden death and it refused to wake from its deep sleep- only flashing a message that I needed to take it back to my retailer. Went there expecting to get another phone but the buggers said the N70 was still available, only the N80 had been discontinued.

@HOBBS: Do you think it would be worthwhile? I'd only go if they showcared some of the newer models not yet available.

Maybe they will Brix.Check it out if you in the area. They were setting up this morning so I didnt get a chance to see what was there but I might get a chance Friday morning on my way to work. Will keep you posted.its a good opportunity to do some fiddling around on working units instead of just manhandling a dummy model.

I'm still alive and kicking too, but buried beneath tons of work. I'm also starting to cast an acquisitive eye over the various handsets on offer, methinks it's time to go shopping soon... I'm thinking along the lines of N73 upwards, possibly on a contract, preferably with mtn, although i'd consider vodacom if the deal seems viable. Any worthwhile contract deals you guys know about? Or would it make more sense to wait until the end of the year when The Frenzy begins and the deals are generally better? Advise me, magents...

Hey my boy Kryptix.Good to hear from u again.I say go ballistic now.Go with Vodacom and go with a Family Top Up 135 or 315.You might have to pay in a bit more but its worth it.That way you always pay the same every month unless you decide to Top Up direct from your phone.Dont hesitate man.Seize the moment and get yourself a kickass new phone.Any ideas which ones you fancy at the moment?

Whats up guys. Posting this from my macbook using my k700 as a bluetooth modem. Thats right, its back to my trusty ol' k700 as somebody swiped my m600i this morning. Gonna miss that phone and my contract upgrade is only due next sept Anyway, thats life! Head on over to apple.com and check out the latest ipod range. The ipod touch is basically an iphone without the phone and retails for $299. Pretty brilliant if u ask me. Quite like the new ipod nano too. |

LOL, 'AMOK' indeed.
@ Jits,
