Doesn't sound that bad? Mine is only a Packard Bell PentiumII MMX and it does me fine for now. Just added some more memory and a CDrw and DVD player and it does just what i need it to. ie spend too long on the net with the help of my flexible friend Mr Broadband.
I would like to get a shit hot pc with a great/fast processor but I cant justify it when this is OK for now!

I've just got a shit-hot PC, and it's great, I admit, but I mainly use it for Outlook, net access and music - which I could do perfectly well on any of my last 6 PCs. The extra power doesn't hurt, but don't feel you need it. Here are the specs though
P4 2.26GHz
512MB
80GB
GeForce4
SB Audigy
DVD
CD-RW
NIC
Modem
etc.
Only a 17", but I have an iiyama 19" I might switch to if I want to treat myself
Thinking of getting into some case mods, but not sure if I can justify it. Anyone else here done any modding?

Sounds good! I really want to go out and buy my self a new PC but with baby and the fact the PC I use does everything I need I just can't justify it.
Probably manage to justify eventually though somehow!
Wouldn't want it on credit though so will have to save up for a while me thinks! It's a case of keep upgrading the pc I've got or just go and get a new one - I don't need a new monitor/keyboard etc!
Eciton how much did you pay for yours out of interest?

I got it from watford electronics for just under £900 - a lot less than I paid for my last PC, a £2300 Dell laptop. I much prefer laptops (TFT, portability and all that) but couldn't afford something with a worse spec and double cost.
I'm pretty happy with it, now I've got it the way I like it.
Sounds like you're like me - find something you *want* and gradually make yourself think it's a *need*
I think a better combo would be crap PC and new console, really...

Hehehe well I've got a 'crapish' (but I like it) PC and PS2 and Gamecube so I think I must be alright then?

Haven't seen it, but may do next week... it's got some bad reviews, but I liked the first one. Now, Austin Powers III rocked my socks - Beyonce is fine in it, and the version of 'Hard Knock Life' was just priceless . I still think Heather Graham is the finest Powers girl... and she looks rather tasty in the trailer for Guru too
