well i have a 3650 and i like it. i wanted soemthing with a camera and symbian. but i don't have enough for a p800 so i got the next best thing. i also share the sentiment of my SE brothers here, most nokia phones are shait, they come out with new models every other week and its just recycled designs, and nokia users are damn stupid.
but the 3650 if used properly, is different. the size is brick-like, the keypad is just stupid beyond stupidity but everythign else is great. its fast, stable, better camer and rf than p800 (best rf i ever had on a phone actually) oh and did i mention stable OS? i really like my 3650. i will bash all other nokia phones but i think 3650 is top-notch.
oh, and i mentioned this, but i bluejack as well, and i leave the SE people alone but attack all the 6310i's and 3650's with my 3650! haha, an attack from their own side! |

@3650roks
Nokia users have been communicating with bluetooth for years? Riiiight.
The standard really only became official in mid 2001...And I don't believe any phones adopted it 'inbuilt' for quite some time after that.
No-one ever said Nokia users get excited, but people do get a little freaked out recieving strange messages. Especially the not-so technical populas that purchase phones.
Umm...Well researched arguement. The Sony Ericsson T610 allows BT to be left on all the time....
Well if no one has been told about it, I'd say it's a discovery. Just because you didn't have an idea first doesn't make it bad. I'm sure that there are many Nokia users who didn't think of sending an anonymous vcard via bluetooth. In fact, I doubt you did before reading this.
Favouring a brand is not a crime. Although some people see it as stupid. Do you support a sports team? Oh wow! I had better change my opinion based on what you do...
Yes. Calling Nokias bricks is stupid, but in reality there are few newer nokias that are smaller than a T610. What features do you feel a T610 misses out? For what you get, SE turn out to be the cheapest. Also, a T610 is made from brushed aluminum...not plastic at all...Again, well researched.
It's just a name. I'm sure if anyone wanted your opinion on it, they would have asked. I think it's pretty clever. In essence, you kinda control the BT content that is being sent to a phone. Yes. The manual tells you how to send contacts via BT, but it doesn't tell you to write amusing names and send them does it?
So if anyone gets message saying 'Business card recieved. View?' They are going to say no straight away? Very believable. Curiosity killed the cat and most of the population are cats. I know I wouldnt turn it down.
Ok..Lets base the status of a person by the type of phone they own...That's pretty stupid.
Is that a <queue laughter> paragraph??
In summary, something is being achieved. Someone is recieving a message via bluetooth. No-one claimed to do anything new. ajack did something while messing around, people thought it was cool and followed suit. Amazing how things happen isnt it?

Bluejacking is everyone's duty, there are so many brick owners out there, totally clueless. Why have BT in your phone if you're not using it

Reading this thread has kept me from working for a whole day now. Blockia owners everywhere should be afraid, very afraid. I've tried blue jacking at pubs etc but no luck so far. Work is a differnet story. Got 3 Blockia's yesterday but not sure who's they were. Only trouble is I'm going to start filling the address book up with short messages rather than numbers. Never mind, it's my duty to put fear into the hearts of Blockia owners

@punkserb:
NOk*a user bluejacking NOk*as?!?!?! That's like being a cannibal man!
NOok 3650 being stable? Maybe the user's perception is like that, Droll and I have seen tons to Series 60 developers complaining that they need to put "band aid" into their code for something to work as the libraries/components are so unstable and not reliable at all.

Guess you are now hiding under some rock somewhere far from the ocean.

If anyone has read this thread thru, they will find that on the whole, us SE users are just out having fun, and exploring the outer edge of our "hobby"
So, anyone who takes this all too seriously, such as our guest, 3650roks, is probably one sandwich short of a picnic, and unfortunately goes a long way in reinforcing whatever prejudices we may have against the Nokia world.
My dear Nokia-istas, next time you turn on your phone and a cool fragrant breeze blows across your cheek, or the golden summer sun warms your skin and you think you on top of the world, just remember you still own a piece of shit, and you need to get with the program...
