@ R.Mugabe,
Hi Uncle Bob. There's no other Zim expats around here AFAIK..

@ gola,
Just to take into account that those D900's will be branded (except O2) as well as locked to a UK network. The only chainstore here that sells PAYG unlocked and unbranded is Carphone Warehouse. The D900i is currently £119.95 (approx R1700) when bought with £10 airtime from them.
However, there is a current special if one opts for a Virgin simcard with one of these, namely £70-worth of free calltime minutes and only pay £10 for this airtime!

Off topic, good too see SA's Benni McCarthy hand Blackburn Rovers a well-deserved win over Manchester City today.

More cellphone pics from yesterday's show.

Not bril N73 pics, but these weren't your average coffee/espresso 'shops':

Jojo, I hope you don't ever use that as a chat-up line..
Just kidding.

Those stunt riders weren't Robbie Knievel or related to dad Evel in any way, but thay were pretty damn good.

The Suz is 10 years old this year, but has less than 6000 miles on the clock! .
It was in storage for quite a while before it was brought to the UK from the US just over a year ago.
I've just ordered some race exhausts for it, then I'll be taking it to a fuel injection specialist to fit a 'Power Commander' EFI to create a fuel injection 'map' to suit the new pipes and tweek the power delivery.
It's almost a sin to put quiet pipes on a big V-twin engine; the TL should be sounding like a WW2 bomber droning past soon..

Ahh.....every time, Wanqa!

TL1000, yes........my CRX/B16-freak friend in Banbury had a TLR until recently!

White, quite old('96P, I think), but full Ohlins, Yoshi pipes, airbox etc....AND ECU, and the craziest composite brakes(banned in their class, IIRR)......when it stopped, without locking up entirely, you invariably ended up with.....a nosebleed.....

And it went some too.......high-power Skylines have always(certainly until the birth of Hayabusa, anyway) used TLs as a benchmark for testing!

@ gola,
LOL, no probz, boet.

@ Aware, you speaketh my language, matey.
Ya, the TL I bought came with full Ohlins rear suspension. (getting rid of that cursed Suzuki rotary damper which they fitted to TLS's and TLR's. The bloody thing was well-documented as being prone to heating up too quickly, causing the viscosity of the oil in the shock to change to such a point that it caused the bike to 'squat' in corners and scare the living pants off you..)
The front forks have Ohlins internals, but the original stanchions and sliders.
It's a wild bike, and like most TLS's has quite a Jekyll n' Hyde reputation, and it brings more of The Dark Side out of me than what Nokia does...

Dang, your mate's TLR was sure sorted. The first TLR's came out in '98, so close enough.

Gonna take the TLS up to Race Engineering up the M11 in Bishops Stortford once I've fitted the pipes, Harris carbon hugger, etc.
Not going to tart up the ZX6RR though; too much of a rarity ('RR' and not the standard 'R' model) to do that..

Think Coxy may have a bike too; he PM'd me about one of the pics I posted in the gallery, which had some trick Akrapovic pipes fitted, and wanted to know if the pipes in the pic were just one-off's for Akrapovic to advertise, or if they were commercially available.

How's that T650i of yours performing? (You lucky bugger, sez a jealous Wanqa, LOL).

Believe it or not, I'm not that much of a bike man! Not because they're not fast, but because I had to watch my old man race bike and sidecar as a kid in the seventies! I've got cahonas, but they're not that big..... .....gimme a cage/4wheels anytime.......

But TLs are special, and Darrens wasn't the road version, it was TLR1000R(if the naming's right; he 'legalised' it later on).....so may have been that old, I'll confirm once his phone is switched on!

Heard of RRs tho, another mate had an FZR400-RR, was lovely.....until he stacked it, then found out genuine RR fairing is best part of a grand(4-5 years ago now, too)! I bet your ZX is quite a beaut, even as standard!

Oh, the T?? Well thanks, although it's not happy with me as I've decided to see how tweakable the camera is, and.....well, it doesn't like it, so is playing 33% with me - 33% works, 33% crashes when taking a pic, 33(well,4, probably)% restarts camera.....instead of saving the pic it's just taken.....
......you don't learn any other way though! And as spanking as ever, excluding this finer of points, of course!

@ Aware,
JK's very much into his 4 wheels.
The T650i's cam story sounds similar to my N73 when I first bought it..
A firmware update finally sorted that all out.
I'm sure if it's something that persists, a future f/w update (when available) should return things to 'normality'.

@ Jojo,
Very, very close mate.
It's apparently a 1940 Ford Tutor coupe. The car belongs to a member of the vintage car club in the link below:
http://www.brmmbrmm.com/sevcvc

There is a Nash Coupe that looks very similar, ie. shape of the headlight housings, fenders and bonnet etc. (I did a quick 'Google' )
I'm not much of a vintage car expert though...

Hope y'all have a bril week ahead.

@ da brixsta,
Good luck at your new work.

@ Rhino,
Prison Break Series 3 starts here on 24 September, so all being well SA should hopefully also be airing the new series close to that date as well.

@wanga Using wi-fi on the p990i to browse the internet is truly a sight to behold. It is so fast.My Opera 8 full default browser was been under-utilized because it always felt so slow and sluggish but with wi-fi it performs exceptionally. You have to see it to believe it.Wi-fi rocks. This P990i surprises me everyday. Also just done a Master reset and a format internal drive so everything is spick and span.Going to go easy on the third party apps/software and just make the most of what the phone has to offer.Sometimes we go over board on third party software and just clutter our phones with junk.Go P990i.Looving it again.
