Besides I doubt it will have 4K recording, or even if it will, I doubt it's usefulness. My Xperia T gets HOT after doing 10 minutes of 1080p, I can just imagine the temperature of Honami doing 4K longer than 1 minute.

Not only that but there's not much point in recoding 4K with 16GB ROM. 32 GB ain't that much better when doing 4K either...
1080p @ 60 fps HDR is more than enough for Honami.

i don't see what the big deal is with whether it can do 4k or not.
i mean, how many of you actually have a 4K TV sitting at home waiting to use with it? i'm perfectly happy with high quality 1080p.
@razec - i'm with you. i don't mind the bezel the way it is. it doesn't seem all that large to me. if you compare it with other popular devices, its not much bigger, if it's bigger at all.

Yeah. 4K is not widely used. And imagine the file size. A 10 mins video probably will take out half of the memory.
Sony have been pushing 4K everywhere, though. |

I suspect it will be there, for little more than bragging rights. People will try to use it, but realise its hoplessly impractical and never touch it again. |

We don't know if that phone recently leaked is Honami. But I can confirm it runs a 20MP camera and it's code is C690X.

lol so true.... 4k video is pretty pointless atm, there are barely any tvs that supports it at least barely anyone will get it this year.
This is just my pov, I dont think Sony is going "all in" with Honami this year. Most likely with 2014.
I was actually hoping to see the New UI
but i still hope Honami will capture alot of new hearts or old hearts back.

Ricky D had a good explanation with the sensor size to fit in the top bezel.
I would say that additionally to the screen, there is also the battery.
However, re the size of the lens, i am still unconvinced the leaked device sports a 2/3" sensor with the same lens size as Z.
Anyone knows if this is possible?

@litoni
I'm curious to know what "extra" did you expect with the Honami ? And in what way is it disappointing. |

@moogoo
Maybe litoni was expecting a "completely new and revamped UI". That probably isn't coming. But it will be an upgrade over the Z Ultra UXP. |

youre awesome rami
@rami, well ever since honami was a rumor like way back, i was expecting sony to completely step up from the game this year.
I know I know things changes when it gets closer to the final product.
Hardware wise for honami is great and all but not super great, the camera will be a disappointment if it is what was leaked. (still rumor, and none of us can get any final info from our sources). Indeed Sony has uniqueness in design and thats 1st out of all tech manufacturers. Software wise, I think Sony needs to do better in this field, not like its bad compared to any other competitors but I cant find anything else to compare it with other competitors, other than that it is clean and simple close to AOSP.
Alot of users out there aka buyers are simple minded cows, and they go with the trend, whats hot, which one has more features. Even if those features are useless, those cows will be attracted to that.
The newly introduced Togari aka Xperia Z Ultra, was a bit disappointing as well. Again, we cant judge a product before it is even released yet. Individuals who are into phones knows this and that, but simple minded cows dont, and Sony isnt focusing on those simple minded cows. 6.5mm thin is nice, but is there a point in heading towards design to attract buyers? maybe yes and maybe no. Like 70% people around the world just wants one common thing, eg: a phone that can last them over a day or two. Heck, I dont know which target market is Sony aiming at at all.
I unno, im just looking at this from a marketing perspective, and the thing is I know Sony has alot more up their sleeves. So much power and resources, yet they are kind of confused, lost of direction. So much resources are put into waste. If you know what i mean.
Well i still believe in Sony! and maybe im drunk
