@ Jojo,
Yeah, I think it was his 1999 car, but I'm not 100% sure. JK will probably know.

@ Jojo,
I think either 1999 or 2000, as I think he lost the Drivers' championship title in 2000 and thus wouldn't have still had the no. '1' on the car.

@ama - Ohhhhh . . never KNEW that was the basis on how the drivers gets their - F1 ranking (numbers glued to their cars . . .)
Well anyways, how I just miss - Mika It was just a CLOSE-fight between Mika and Mike Schumy back then . . . (Dave Coulthard and Reubens Barrichello just always comes in - 2nd . . . )

Yup, but McClaren this year have a somewhat unique problem, in that they've unexpectedly got 2 'alpha males' contending for the title in the same team. The Mc Claren team boss, Ron Dennis, has mentioned that there's now apparently no 'tactics' to favour one above the other as is often the case; maybe at the outset of the season Hamilton was naturally expected to be the 'second fiddle', well wow, hasn't he done better than anyone dared imagined...

@ama - Nice . . . YES, I agree ! Somewhat it's kinda different with the Ferrari Team back then . . . when Barrichello has to give way (to the extent) to Mike Schumy crossing the Finish Line Has to do with the Driver's Standing (points) . . .
I agree that this Hamilton is doin' wonders to the Mercedes Team and to the F1 as a newbie . . . Alfonso has just been sidelined this year when it comes to the popularity-issue . . .

I suppose. He's such a phenomenal driver and he's still pretty much Spain's golden boy of motorsports. But Hamilton's heroics has indeed won a lot of hearts around the world.
Well Jojo, it's nearly 2am here again. Gotta get some sleep. Hope you're having a good Thursday, matey.
G'night.

@papa - Oh, I meant ALONSO and not Alfonso back there pal (former: Renault Williams).
Oh yes, I'm sure that Hamilton will be gettin' numerous awards for his unparalleled performance/achievements a sa newcomer in the F1 race he even surpassed that of Mike Schumy as far as I know
Good night - Professor . . . have a nice Thursday ahead !

Thanx for the advice guys, will definitely follow up on it over the weekend. Right now my life seems to consist of work, meetings and workshops and more meetings. I think the only person who's under more pressure at the moment is Manto. She's really catching flak from all corners... One would think that she'd at least do the decent thing and step down until matters come to a head.

roflmao!!! Those two deputies are actually very smooth gentlemen, Jmash
I finally managed to spend some time reading all about the adventures of Peas and Mr.747. Did the same as J and bookmarked it, well worth reading! The thought actually occurred to me whether Esato shouldn't have a blogging section as well...
