On paper, Honami is better than the current Z in many ways. Its price will also match the current Z. Now, if Sony is to release a refresh Z and keep the same price point, adding just a refreshed CPU won't cut it as Honami will take all the interest away. Unless Sony dramatically drops the Z price down, there's not really a spot for a refresh Z. =)
I think there might room on the market for a Z refresh in terms of people who see Honami as too bulky. There will be a market for people who don't care that much for the radical improvement in camera performance (which constitute much of the Honami's larger dimensions) and who prefer Z's overall philosophy with a state of the art SoC.
But, having Z2 and Honami as separate models is primarily my theory, it wasn't confirmed to me by my source. It's my speculation based on all the rumors and leaks.

XZ line will always be the best. look at XZ, XZR and XZU. if Sony is releasing Honami and refreshed Z with refreshed Z being inferior, then the refresh shouldn't have Z in its name.

i think size is actually good because we need thin bezels on the side to handle the device comfortably and thick bezels on top and bottom to hold the device comfortably in landscape mode. |

4k is highly likely since S800 supports it. I don't expect it to take amazing pictures, but something close to Nokia's devices with more pixel detail but more noise I think is good enough... |

I'm happy as long as I can hold phone with one hand normally and two hand in landscape mode. I have pretty big hand. a longer phone with bezel isn't a problem as long as the phone fits into my pocket. |
