ccd, i cant see is going to that much difference maybe alittle sharper and alittle better for night mode they are saying but u will have to wait for a few more months till the phone use's it also it wont be labled ccd till near xmas so it will be like lucky dip when they come out.also by then new model's will be in the pipe line...so is it worth the wait???also people say that the 902 aint so grt with picture's and thats a 2mp with ccd.ccd is a lens meant to be higher quality then cmos.but ccd use's more power and is a bigger len's |

The blitz research of a question, calls to people who are responsible for the given product, have revealed rather curious fact. The support service has received the given information in connection with that the company really is going to change type of a matrix in the device. All the models made at present, and gone on sale will have a CMOS-sensor control, the same concerns also devices which will be presumably made till July. Since August, there will be a replacement of the module of the chamber, improvements besides change of type matrix:
- the Best work of an auto focus in conditions of low light exposure
- Detailed elaboration of subjects above on distances of shooting up to 5 meters in comparison with the CMOS-module
- Other algorithm of processing of pictures, raises a color saturation of a picture
- the Best realization of processing of pictures from a macromode
- time of preservation of a picture has slightly grown
- Approximately for 5-10 percent has grown power consumption
- Change of optics of the device owing to change of a matrix
Externally new CCD-module does not differ in any way, to see distinction between "old" and "new" versions of phones a unaided sight it is impossible. The company will try to not accent attention to improvement of the chamber in K750i, at least, till the moment of realization, sale of all already made phones. In the further, both in promotional materials, and on the case of phone there will be an inscription that the module of chamber CCD. Roughly it will occur before christmas sales. |

Pinch the sides of the battery case whilst using the other hand to slide it off.
Hope that helps. |

Well I won't wait for the ccd. If you keep on waiting you can wait your whole life for things to get better.

HE-HE K750 will have ccd matrix in August, it's good I didn't buy it yet.

But in August when you buy a K750 you will not know if it has CCD or CMOS, because it will not be printed on the package and the stores will not tell you (because they do not know either). You may very well end up with CMOS K750 anyway, but 4 month later than anybody else.

Don't really see what all this fuss is over the K750 having a CCD or CMOS.
As far is i'm concerned the CMOS on the K750 is very good, the image quality is excellent (colour saturation and contrast are the best i've seen for a CMOS/CCD cameraphone so far). There's also no edge softness or blurring like the K700.
I have a £400 Canon digicam, so if i want decent 5mpx CCD images, i'll use that, if i want a few fairly good snaps then i'll use the K750. |

Its a general misconception that CCD automaticaly means better pictures over CMOS, this is absolutely not true.
You can find CMOS sensors in the best most expensive dslr cameras.
Both sensor have weak points and strong points, the overall quality depends on the quality of the individual sensor used, not if its a cmos or a ccd. CCD sometimes gives sharper pictures, while CMOS often gives a more natural and pleasent looking picture. But its not a rule, it depends on the individual sensor. You can find very good expensive CMOS and CCD sensors and very poor cheap CMOS and CCD sensors.
The main reason for manufacturers to choose ccd over cmos is not quality but simply that they are often cheaper than cmos sensors. The main reason why cmos is used in mobilecams are smaller size and less batteryuse than ccd, but now they can produce a ccd lens thats small enough to fit into the small body of the K750 then they will choose this because its cheaper. It wont nescesarily produce better pictures, that will depend on the quality of the ccd-sensor they will use.
Waiting untill christmas just because of this may very well turn out to be a big dissapointment to those that wait if they expect the cam to automatically be much better.

@ Patasenko, dont believe everything you read. It makes no sense for SE to change the K750i's components to more expensive ones, when they're not going to gain anything from it.
Also, the CCD vs Cmos discussion is pointless - its already been proved that they're both as capable as each other.

Hmm i just got the phone... for the second time
I know this sounds stupid but is macro mode and auto focus the same thing?? |

Macro mode is when the lenses are placed in such a way that pictures can be shot from objects at very short distance (and only at very short distance).
Auto focus is when the camera is capable of automatically adjusting the lenses so that the object aimed at is in focus.

You wont find it, auto focus happens when you half press the camera shutter key - its not a shooting mode like macro / night / scenic etc.

Auto focus just seems the same as when taking a normal picture.
Hmmm it takes some getting used to.
Very very nice phone

Play around with it, and you'll notice the difference.
Also try out the spot photometry.
I cant wait to get my K750i, hopefully in less than 2 days i'll have it.
