true or false :
the equaliser of the music player in the m600i has no manual/personal setting. as in you can only have preset equaliser settings but not ur own.
can any of you proud m600 owners please confirm if this is correct???
thanks to all in advance.

I havent tested yet a movie as big as 40MB, but a ~10mb movie took about 15 seconds to start. However after some adjustments on the movie file it loads in ~3 seconds.

On my M600, I'm able to read some big files (75mb) without any delays in loading.
The file is a MP4 converted with SUPER. Sound & picture quality is very good.

Hi guys,

I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a good source of free applications for the m600, I remember back in the P800 and P900 days there were loads of places for good freeware...

Maybe in time they will emerge...

Cheers. Daz.

Well, you must wait a bit, till they port the applications. Porting to UIQ3 is a bit more pain in the @ss, since it has a new protection scheme. But they already ported SCUMMVM (and you can download even two games for it for free) (http://www.scummvm.org), you can also check my-symbian.com, and I'm sure in a few month there will be more. I also plan to work more on UIQ3, I hope in 1 month I can continue working on the pixel drawer program, and to port the animated stereogram (altough I'm not sure if it's interesting to anyone )

Had a quick look on the ROM and I can't find it... It must be there though. If anyone can find it, I would like it too!

The lack of manual equalizer is really bad, since I used it to add extra loudness

About the movies: as I heard they play, but some of the movies need a lot of time to start. But if the MP4 file is ISMA compliant, then there shouldn't be any problems. For linux users I already posted a (possible) fix in this topic:

I've tested a 14 MB file and worked like a charm (takes a second to load). Mind you, still freezes for a fraction of a sec every hal of a minute but still ok.

On the SE dev forum they say we should encode with 12.5 or 15fps... So maybe the high framerate is the problem.
Btw, the W900 can play back smoothly at 30fps, but it has a different hardware chip: nvidia goforce 4800 (if I remember right), while the M600 has a Philips PNX4008...

Altough I just checked the whitepaper, and it states it supports encoding/decoding at 30fps up to CIF resolution (CIF=352x288 > 320x240)...

Information for those users that want to sync Outlook at two locations and phone.
I had the problem that I wanted to sync my appointments from my work Outlook calendar and my personal calendar on my Home Outlook, together with Phone(RemoteSyncML).

Solution I came up with was to utilise "ScheduleWorld". Great Free service which allows all the items to be synced together (as well as Gmail Calendar if you want)
Apart from a few minor bugs, it works really well. Recommended.

Hi guys,

I recently got a white m600, which i absolutely love, but i have a number of questions/issues which i hope you can help me with:

1. I want to have push email from my work's Outlook 2003 account, but I can't install any software there (like pc suite) as it has tight security and workstations are swappable, so your account is accessable from different PC's. The management team has blackberry's so i guess it's supported, but I have no clue how to? Any pointers?

2. In calendar, when in day-view, how do you easily go to the next or previous day??? The arrow buttons don't work there and neither does the scroller, and the tiny arrows onscreen are just superannoying. Don't want to have to whip out the stylus everytime...

3. In calendar, when in week view, the layout is:
mond. tuesd.
wed. thursd.
frid. sat./sun.
while in outlook week view it's usually:
mond. thursd.
tuesd. friday
wed. sat./sun.

Any possibility to change this on the m600?

4. In RSS, it doesn't download the entire posts. It stops at between 11-13 lines and sometimes already even after 7 or 8. (zoom is on medium) Is this normal?

I've tried searching but i can't seem to find these things.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
