Haha Luke, was just about to ask how would I partition, worked out i need to do it but if someone could shed some light on how it's done, it'd be grand.

um, basically do a fresh install. But when you are about to do it, go to finder and then disk utility.

Select your hc click format, then go to partition, slect 2 partition then make the size you want.

alternatively get ipartition or one of the programs:

just be carefull as you dont want to delete your data without some form of backup.

Oh, and is it normal for iMovie to not launch?

Be sure to run the iLife 8.1.1 Update and the iMovie 7.1 Update.
-From folder: Home / "Library", drag out the "Cache" folder to the desktop (don't trash it just yet).
-From folder: Home / Library / "Preferences", drag out the "com.apple.iMovie7.plist" file to the desktop (don't trash it just yet).
-Restart.

Oh, and I just partitioned my HD without needing to even restart my machine.. Used Disk Utility btw.

Just did it, no fuss, 30secs later job done!
