I don't think there is anywhere in the US that only has analog service, so don't get too excited about that. I haven't seen an analog phone in about 5 years.
And PTT is available nearly everywhere from several providers. It has been around out here for several years at least. Nextel and Boost mobile have had it for a long time, but they don't really market to the normal cell phone crowds, mostly business. |

saw quite a few analogue phones last year over there. We have none here and havent had for a good few years! However ptt isonly just coming through, only a few phones with it and I've heard nothing from the providers about it!

where were you that you saw so many analog phones? Seriously, I don't even know of a provider that offers analog service anymore.

florida! Some of them were so old, but maybe I'm just confusing them with old first generation digital ones. You do like the old motorola flips over there dont you! |

The only old motorola flips that are analog are the microtac and the piper, which are only flips in the sense that the T28 is a flip.
Besides, there are tons of old people in florida that probably don't even know that its the 21st century.

Those tiny Samsung flip phones are pretty popular here, as are the Motorola flip phones.

I really don't understand the flip phone craze. And why is it still acceptable for a flip phone to have an external antenna? Surely they can fit that in there.

you've got to tolerate all those people that you hate i'm not in love with you but i won't hold that against you |

Flip phones are highly overrated. Must be because the person looks cool when he opens the phone.

glad you all share my distaste for flip phones. I think they have become far too popular in the US as of late. I haven't come across a flip phone that I like the design of both inside and out. The Z800 comes closest, but I am not a huge fan of the button layout on flips and even less of a fan of Motos and Samsungs.
Long live the basic block phone shape.

I think the Z600 is a great flip. My GF likes it a lot.

I've never used the Z600 but I know its essentially the same as a T610. I personally think its uglier and bigger. I am not going to be persuaded to use a flip version of a phone I already have and like.
On another note, this thread needs a pick-me-up...
Did everyone else here see Sin City and enjoy it as much as me?
I found it even more entertaining because I grew up with the girl that played Miho. Funny to see people you knew in movies.
