I can cofirm that. After looking at a non-translated page I was able to understand that the C905 indeed won't be using a Samsung sensor.

If it uses samsung sensor, then its good for SE as the i8510 produces stunning photos. SE makes the most hopeless small sized lens as is evident from their cyber shot cameras and previous SE phones

And which are those? The K800? the K810? the C902?
I also disagree with you on your first statement. How do you know for sure?

1st to QVGA ... I guess you have a quater of a vision in your head so as you don't see things in clear perspective. ... SE makes small sized lens which are hopeless ...
FYI ... the cyber-shot line when introduced was a huge success, K790, K800 & K810 along with the recently released C902 which imploys a Sony Sensor/Matrix.
2ndly, Samsung takes stunning photos ... hmmmmm, C905 takes better and with the new sensor by Sony will take far better pics then Samsung, as Sony is Sony ... Japan ... and Samsung is Samsung ... Korean, ... to which Sam has already sung his last song ... !!!
2nd to NightBlade ... Your spot on Dude ... !!! Sony Rocks ... and the cyber-shot phones beat every phone till date ... except for the ill-fated K850i which unfortunately was released tooooooo late and hence caused SE a major headache to which they learnt from there mistakes and to which we got now a C905 ... sweet cheers.
To round it off, I'm glad the K850i sunk at the box office as if it didn't we probably would get a feature rich phone from SE this yr. We probably would have got something in-line with the strategy of Se of recycled products. So I truly say, hats of too Nokia for that one, and good job to SE this yr for the C905 ... which will be the bestseller of 2008 ...
Till next time ...
Ciao. |

As far as your PM with a link to Muhammad-Oli's post and your post of
"I am as well looking forward to your apology."
Well please hold your breath for it as it will be a cold day in hell before it comes as I'm owed far more apologies from your insults then my stating the truth. How about apologising to Eldar for calling him an idiot when you know full well he doesn't visit here and is far from being an idiot? He knows and has forgotten more about mobiles than you will ever know and that's a fact.
@Muhammad-Oli
Now that's strange you don't like being insulted but don't mind calling Eldar an idiot? Oh i see don't do as you do do as you say. You will also be waiting a long time for an apology that will never come.
@Micks2005
If you could read properly you would of noticed i said nothing at all about the C905 good or bad but was taking to task two clowns who feel they have the right to call Eldar an idiot. So what facts do i need to get right and your name most probably suits you to as i would imagine you have the mickey taken at least 2005 times a day for your superior intelligence NOT.
@Bambino
I don't but that doesn't make him an idiot or give those two clowns the right to call him one does it?
Just what evidence do you have that i hate SE or i suppose your just another one that sees any criticism of SE means that person must hate SE or do you just believe all the other rubbish people claim?
@Carkitter
Well by now i really expect no less from you and your warped perception of reality.
@all
As for the C905 I'll judge it when it is released on how it performs not on a misguided ideal that because it's from SE it will just be the best. Just look at what happened with those thoughts and the K850 and how badly that worked out. Which lets face it is what any normal sensible person that isn't in love with SE would do.
Marc
Hi Marc!
Well aren't we in a shitty mood? I wonder how you get through your days being so up tight all the time. Must be real hell. No wonder so many people wish you'd stay out of things, with your surly attitude.
I will call Eldar an idiot all I like, thank you very much. You see, the difference is that Eldar has truly been acting like an idiot lately. His judgment is way off and we have good proof of it. So I have all reason to say so. But, you called me stupid, when I and many members here know full well that I am not stupid. So I will expect an apology. Whether I get that apology depends on your ability to see past the rose-tinted glasses Eldar gave you.
See people call George Bush an idiot because he has done some very stupid things. He deserved to be called that, otherwise he'd never learn what he'd done wrong. I called Eldar an idiot for the same reason. Eldar needs to know that what he is doing is not on. That he can't go talking crap about a company over his personal conflicts when so many people like you will believe and praise his every word.
You and Eldar show the same kind of attitude to be honest. Judgment without thought, and without weighing up true facts. I noticed you have no reply to my argument. Its a shame really that our "greatest debater" gave up so easily.

Sorry that was a typo. I meant Sony makes hopeless small lens, not SE.
And Sony 'does' make pretty poor lens for their cybershot cameras.

I still don't see why you're complaining. The latest batch of pictures taken with the C905 have no purple fringing whatsoever. Oh, and must i remind you that the lens is made of mineral glass?

@micks:
regarding the most criticized shortcomings of C905 - the video recording maybe SE could address this by incorporating an nvidia goforce 5300 chip inside. the chip itself was produced long ago so i think the price will be easy to SE's R&D budget just imagine how much improvement will this chip bring to C905 one it's implemented:
-much better audio (5300 has audio DSP)
-much better video (5300 has video DSP as well)
-much better games ( the capuchin based java games will further took advantage of the nvidia GPU:) )
-much better image post processing (5300 's ISP supports up to 10mpixel resolution)
-better battery life since those things above will not be handled by the main cpu.
having known from you that SE have and will implement a sony camera module for C905 and the next production batch of c902 which is hardware level of upgrade then we can at least hope SE will listen on this nvidia thingy as well. anyway this nvidia thingy had set SE's video recording quality far ahead from nokia back in the days of W900's reign. what do you think?

what difference does mineral glass make? have previous phones from other manufacturers and from SE suffered due to lack of mineral glass?
and see the pics of i8510 on gsmarena and compare them to C905

well that's true with their H and T series (purple fringing). but taking a look at their mid and high end W-series (especially the new ones like W120 up to W300). the quality is almost the similar when compared with canon ixuses - anyway they only differ in optics(canon using of course their proprietaty lens and sony with their carl-zeiss), ccd sensors were both made by Sony itself

@ razec ...
Kool with regards to the nvidia goforce 5300 chip, I know they are dedicated graphics card and all... as well Sony Ericsson did use them for the W900 but I guess they found nvidia expensive or something like that, or perhaps they again would use them at a later time in there fones.
But that is mere speculation by me, and when they did use them, they left there competition behind and to catch up Nokia went and brought out VGA otherwise W900 was the it fone and a very good one for taking videos.
So who knows but I agree with you totally and hopefully we might see something in the near future, as SE is working on a video-centric fone or they might incorporate it into one of there existing fone line-up. Hence this had been discussed also way before but I think next yr when the portfolio is sharpened and SE would be releasing 14 fones less just like the good old days for SE we might and shall see something promising in the video department as well.
Cheers to you ... |
