If you are using Wotan Server. It will tell you when you connect the phone and it will also give you a option to cancel the request.
However if you are upgrading the EROM, You must also upgrade the firmware.
I will attach pics shortly |

Ok These Pics are taken with the Old K800 Firmware and EROM
1 of the photos was taken in normal room light with no flash
the other one was taken in pitch dark with the flash on (As you can see from the flash back)
I will post the other photos from the other phone in another post

Ok Same Pics with the New K800i
Again one with out flash in room light and one with flash in darkness
One thing to point out
Old K800i took photos in 717kb (Flash) and 345kb (No flash)
New K800i took photos in 653kb (Flash) and 320kb (No flash)
So the new phone also takes less space with the photos.

Currenlty only SE knows this.
However All i can say, SE wouldnt bring it out if they didnt think it was needed. So there must be something wrong with the other one.
However there are 2 version that we know of that are out R3A011 and now the latest one R3A016.
If you sent your phone of for repair then you should get it back with the new firmware and EROM.
I will also say this is why the service centers have only jest been given the firmware and this is why SE Update service has been delayed.

where can we learn what changes occur with a new firmware? for example on wotan the newest firmware for K790i is R1ED001 but it doesn't state what changes this new firmware comes with. |

I think we should note changes in eprom version, on the first page along with firmware changes. This is the first instance i have come across of this happening with a ony ericsson phone. |

1st page of this forum.
SE Never tell any one whats in the new firmware only them selves. If people knew then every one would flock to say that they need the phone updating as its going to fail.
People on here like my self well always place there findings on places like esato.
drich290195 and yes i agree. I know Mwarner will rad all the updates anyway

This is a joke.
Can't believe ppl is paying for something that are not fully approved by SE yet. When there are a new FW for this phone that are tested and ok it will be on SEUS, for free.
Have sent this thread to some friends at SE here in Sweden and they have had some good times as me to read posts from ppl that have bought this phone and also, paid to crash it with non public FW's.
I surely hope that ppl knows what void warranty means...

I disagree if you can afford to update why not, for alot f people like myself its a hobby. I like probably alot of people enjoy experimenting, if you can afford it theirs no problem. Mine was 3 uk branded i definatly dont mind paying to remove their branded rubbish. |
