Hi!
Maybe this question was somewhere allready.
Is it possible to make P990 (or other symbian Wifi phone) work in Wifi as an IP phone? |

If SE will include tv-out or something, it can come out in december, at least for me; but only to be a killer phone |

It may well be not a final version, but I tell ya it's firt cheap. May sell it on if it is really bad.
I'll let you know if I get it and will ofcourse tell you everything I think about it.

I got my k-jam last September (shortly before P990 was announced) and if P990 is really going to be this September I will already have my replacement for the k-jam by then! (the Hermes)
A full translation of that swedish text might be interesting please

Exactly my thoughts. Much as I love SE and the P-series range if the Hermes is available sooner then this will be my next device - it has everything I need in a device.
Mind you since there has been no official word from SE on any further delays I'd take that article with a pinch of salt until its proven otherwise - there seems to be an awful lot of conjecture and rumours about the P990's availability with nobody so far able to present any information that can be considered 100% reliable. |

Youīre right...thereīs still nothing oficial...i donīt take the swedish article for granted.
Until thereīs word from SE, we canīt be sure...i think such delay would de really really bad....
Iīm really thinking in getting one, instead of a k800, i even will sell a psp i won to raise some cash for it, and this delay might ruin all

We are just waiting to see whether Sony Ericsson will officially announce the delay to Q3 or deny this rumour. Thanks.
Cheers.

If it wasnt for my sat nav application I would have gone for a Windows Mobile 5 device by now. But as Wayfinder doesnt support WM5 im stuck in limbo. Got a company where we desperatly need some new phones to replace lost, stolen and broken ones yet its too close to the next gen to waste money on the current stuff.
SE know this delay and any further delay is going to hurt them hard and I mean hard. Itll be out as soon as its ready. Most likely its some network providers delaying everything. |

the hermes is a real killer to p990 . If p990 is delayed... SE will loose at least half of customers.

SE are working to get this thing out before the new Nokia E's and the Hermes. Which ever gets to market first will pickup a huge share and all the makers know it but given the P's tend to have user upgradable firmware SE can rush it and fix it later (bad I know but if it gets devices out). however Nokia are well known for not doing user upgradable firmware thus often leaving early adopters with a real turkey brick. |

Well SE better hurry up and get it sorted. I am honestly rapidly loosing patience, and the last I heard about the Hermes was that it could show up as early as June under the QTek or Imate brands.
As far as I'm concerned whoever gets there first gets my money. |

The Nokia E60, E61 and E70 will be out this month May compared to the SE M600i in June.
I believe that the M600i main handicap is the non inclusion of WIFI compared to the Nokia E61 with WIFI.
Sony Ericsson public relation department is not keeping the potential customers up to speed on their latest P990i news. They have an A star for only showing the P990i to a selected few people during the major exhibition.
My hats off to them for still keeping quiet and doing nothing about the rumoured delay to Q3.
Cheers.
