I was not online due to some personal issues, sorry about that. Anyway, I guess there is no room for me now, as this thread suddenly has 1 million insiders

Well just to clarify here, it seems that several people on this forum have had access to the device in the pictures. That's great and perfect... but to those people, did you get 100% confirmation that the device was Honami? I know unknown kinda addressed an answer to me earlier, but I'd like to see if we can get confirmation on what you guys were told.

So, was this device described to you as Honami? Z2? i1? Something else?

Thanks!

It is Triluminos, according to Sony, Triluminos tech is a Color filter QD panel (From QD Vision) that add to the screen to create better performance and wider color
So instead of Normal Filter Panel with White LED backlight, they use Triluminos Panel (QD) with Blue LED backlight to create wider color gamut

@randomuser you are right everyone has become an insider now, Can you tell us if the leaked pictures is really the Honami? Why is it so thin when we expect it to pack a large sensor? Glad to see your back.

I believe these pics might be of the mystery S800 device which will be a step below the Honami, pricing wise.

It's the same. I really don't know it's Honami but I can confirm that device I saw takes 20MP photos and it's called C690X.

ah-HA! It just felt wrong for such a relatively large sensor to have such a tiny lens on the camera.

So... maybe not Honami afterall, eh? I'm intrigued because if it isn't Honami, what purpose does this serve? Is it the Z refresh? Basically a thin phone with all the bells and whistles?

Cool, thanks.

unknownC151A, I think you had mentioned you have camera samples, right? Can you post any of them, either in full or crops?

If this device can take pictures that beat any other smartphone other than Nokia's at least, then I don't see anything to complain about in that department. If the screen quality is good, it has 32 GB of internal and the battery lasts long enough, this device imo is what we've been waiting to see from Sony.
