Brix, i recently dealt with a Bidorbuy seller from C.T. who may be able to offer you a good price on an external HDD. I see that he has new external HDD enclosures for sale so he may have the actual drives as well. Will PM his contact details to you.

@ kryptik, yep, dem predictive stuff sometimes slaps one in the face.

@ Brix, I have a price list somewhere from a supplier, but that is around here, and without 20% markup and 14% vat. But Incredible Corruption even has okay prices, not the cheapest, but compared to actual HDD's, not bad. I would say for a 500GB, if they have such large ones available, not more than R2500, but you can get a 250 - 300 GB for about R1500 at Incredible Corruption. If you can get it, get one that can network, then you can add it as a network drve, but the USB drives should do the job. Also, the casings you can buy for a HDD is not bad. My brother bought one the other day, and a decent one for that, and we charged him about R250-R300 for it...So then you would just have to add the HDD prices. Ask me in 3 days time and I will look at the price list on Gmail...just seriously overused the internet this month.

@francois: Thanks, maybe I don't need all the storage capacity right now but I'd love to be "future proof".

@ brix, I worked out from a price list that you can build up a 400GB one for about R1800-00, but when you talk future proof, the only way to go is SATA, and I am very unfamiliar with what is available on the market, but I know you can get an external HDD that is connected to your pc just as fast as a normal SATA HDD, not at the really slow USB speeds.

Are you for real? How can Jeannie D be chubby...she's hardly got an ounce of fat on her bones.

@HOBBS: Although I'm a big facebook fiend I really couldn't care if they're closed down (which is very unlikely). Not sure whether the two twins who brought the case against Zuckerberg have a valid case because they've been given this week to come with proof that their source-code was stolen.

@HOBBS: Nah I ain't tough, just feel that filing silly law suits against internet start-ups make no sense. If they really felt so strongly about it they should've sued two years ago...one can't feel any sympathy for them because facebook is worth just over $1billion.

Monday 30th: The Return Of Da Wanqsta.

Greetings, ya'll. Just got back from the Lake District in northern England and I'm totally buggered. Lots of driving on very busy motorways on the way back.
Will post N73 pics later.

Had zero signal at the camping grounds just outside Kendal in Cumbria, hence my complete absence since last Friday. When we did drive and/ or walk around and there was a signal, it wasn't always conducive to posting. I mean, spending time in the great outdoors with my much better half and the in-laws and I'm posting away from the depths of Cumbria just wouldn't be on.

Darth Mario would be so proud of me.
That Wanqa Esato 'Frequency And Reaction Time' (F.A.R.T.) Dossier that he has on me must be showing drastic fluctuations as of late.
Can I get a Noddy Badge now?

Tomorrow we get the place ready for more friends of ours from Jozi, who arrive early on Wednesday. Sigh, no rest for the wicked.

@ Kryptik,
Thanks boet. We were thankful to get there and back in one piece. Travelling mercies indeed.

@ KBR,
Nice pics! Dang, 50k for that state-of-the-art steering wheel. Carbon fibre housing looks the biz.

@ The Hobbster,
LOL, what's the Esato $ / £ exchange rate at the moment? I'm still waiting for Goldenface to deposit all those notes into my esato account...
...Or I could spare you a few pennies from my P1i piggy bank fund for you to put towards that E90 Hobbs Grail.

@ Jojo,
Patience, my son....patience. Good things come to those who wait...
