It almost works. Some things are missing...
But using the "upload" function will be faster than using the cable only.

Ok it's only one way. But hey, better than nothing... [addsig]

I was reading the Sony Ericsson S700 review: Welcome to Japan at GSM Arena and read this comment

Quote:
Update: Sony Ericsson released a new firmware, which allows phones to search by more characters.

Does anyone know if this means you can search by inputing more than one letter while you're actually in the phonebook, or if this is just like the plain old "find" feature in older Sony Ericsson phones?

Hi people need some help. i have had 2 s700's now both with the same problem. i am on o2 and have firmwire version R3B032. From time to time the phone does not recognise the memory stick, therefore i can not play my mp3's and ringtones divert back to the old sony ericsson greeting annoyin sound. I then turn off the phone by pressing power button, but cant turn it back on by just pressing power button. i have to remove the back then take out the battery, reassemble then the phone can be turned back on again. This is slightly annoyin me and i would love it if any of you people who have the phone could offer up a solution. Thanks for the help.

@richardlusty

I'm not sure how helpful this will be, but I suppose you could try re-formating the memory stick.

How do you fromat the MS on an S700 ? I did'nt think you could. I tried formating one via my pc and it would'nt work in my phone afterwards. I formated it again using my P900 and it now works. If a format can be done through the S700 can somebody please enlighten us.

Is there anyway to program the playlist on the s700 so only selected mp3's play and not all the ring tones as well?

Create seperate directories for the MP3 music and MP3 ringtones. That way it will only play what is in the folder that you select.

I have just noticed that Expansys are now showing the S700i at £419! Thats £100 cheaper than they used to sell it for and £80 cheaper than Eshop!
