Hi MFB,

Just to keep you inform that SE still investigate your T9 dictionary problem. Below is the SE Engineer that reply to me as I just wrote him a short message to check what is the outcome.

___________________________________________________________
Hi Tony,

I do not have the answer yet for the dictionary for rest assure I am still following up...as for the clock display, I'm afraid it will not be possible to make the scree a bit brighter.

But I will feedback to the management if anything can be done.

Best Regards
C H

dairin-> Yes I have mentioned on my last meeting with them. You can see the message that I got the reply from SE for MFB includes the same question that I posted to them together. As what the Engineer said he will forward it to the management and waiting for their confirmation. However, it is good for you to bring it out, and I can proof it to them you all are unhappy on the brightness of the clock on standby mode. They are very happy and serious in looking into our feedback to them.

dairin-> It is okay. Correct me if I am wrong. Normally the miss call and miss SMS messages icon will appear on our standby mode screen when we did not answer or read it, am I right? It is only due to the black shadded screen, we may not notice it immediately. Especially on the SMS message. This is due to the SMS alert tone is so soft. We can hardly hear it. However, SE is doing the testing. I did suggest to add on melody tune to SMS alert tone like Nokia did. They are looking into it too. As I said, SE welcome any of our useful suggestions and feed back. They will seriously take our value feed back for their considerations to accomodate the market requirement for SE phones.

TonyG->u're right abt the miss call or sms come in will display in standby mode but w/o light after some time.
what i mean is after a long time lest's say we never realise it also, it will turn to clock mode and all this miss call/sms indication will dissappear, hope SE can find a way to still able to indicate to us whether we hav a miss call or miss sms - let's say still puting the icon in the clock mode maybe
just a suggestion, i maybe wrong so hope others can say their view on this issue thxs

dairin-> You are right also. I have test run myself and found that the missed items (either calls or messages) icon will disappeared around 1-2 mins if we did not open it. The good part is, even though the icon may not be there, but if you press any keypad button, the icon will reappeared again to alert us we have not see or read the missed items.
I do not know whether SE deliberately programme it this way maybe just to save battery power. However, you have brought up a good point to suggest that the missed item icon should permanently display on the screen untill we open it. Okay, I shall give the SE sw Engineer a call on Monday and talk to him on this issue and see how he will reply to us.

TonyG - Just curious. Maybe you can check with your contact as SE Singapore.

How come the T68ie (with chinese text input) in Singapore are labelled as T68i? I have seen a few sets like this. There doesn't seem to be any T68ie in Singapore.
Thanks.

amlim-> I guess SE are too lazy to label nowadays. My T68mc was also labelled as T68 only. The only differences are all Chinese version (mc, ie) handphones had Chinese strokes on the phone keypad. Okay, I will still bring your concern to SE Singapore and see what will their reply be.
