Just been speaking to T-Mobile uk ... there not even testing the thing yet !
Personally, I'm getting more attracted to other phones/devices by the day. At least they are available.
The p910i was discontinued about 10 months ago now .... surely they should have at least updated it one more time if there was going to be this sort of delay (aka p900->p910 update)... but methinks that SE is terrrified of having dead stock so discontinuing models far too early.

but update the P910 to what?
and would you be happy buying an interim model when what you really want is the P990?

Funny thing is that a member here or at my-symbian claimed that T-mobile (UK) would have the P990 before other UK networks, but online retailers already have O2 prices for the P990. I am with T-mobile so I will see what the sales people have to say (I am due an upgrade). I suspect SIM free handsets may be the first ones available though. |

How long is Sony Ericsson going to sit on the P990i before it is released to the customers ?
Is the P990i going to have the same fate as the Nokia N91 where it is delayed for one year. |

Not off the top of my head, no. I dont think CPW stock them anymore, you'd be better off looking on ebay or your local small chain phone store.
The market was saturated by Vodafraud branded V800's that the Z800i's release got clouded over, and nobody noticed it was out.

Well for some time I have been looking for one. Seen none in the UK, and hardly any on eBay worth getting. The new ones are way overpriced, and I dont want a cheapo V800 convert!
Saw one recently sim free in Andorra, £300! lol

anyone know why did SE delayed the release of the SE p990i?? is there any possibilities that they will change the 802.11b to 802.11g??? because today g is used for almost every gadgets..will they put a blackberry also? if the Se will delay the release of the p990i maybe they should used the memorystick micro so that it will have more space for some new features and it will be worth time to wait.. |
