@ people who are doubting the poster is not togari
that is a picture is indeed xperia z ultra. you guys need to chill about the poster, that picture and xperia z ultra looks exactly the same, just that the poster has the camera and the final product didnt. its just a tiny miscommunication inside sony. its not unusual for things like this to happen, and its not the end of the world.
a tiny mistake made buy a graphic designer. as simple as that.

this is what uni and i believe in. we both have not seen the "camera" but the back looks pretty much like that.
and like we said we have seen the prototype, and this device may even be a prototype too. no one knows as we dont work for sony.

Im worried about the sensor size.... but according to Huiyi, the sensor size in Honami must be bigger than the one in XZ
otherwise.... there must be another camera device?  |

Honami will be sold to customers laptop-style where you can configure it as you want. You want to order a Honami with a bigger sensor, more on-board storage and a larger battery? Pay more $$$, and it shall be done! On a budget? Here's a lesser Honami for you.

The main problem is the Economies of Scale....
if they do customized Honami, the cost would be higher than when the do mass production

I REALLY don't understand why people still keep whining
What is problems with Z's design when it closest to perfect in real life
and even bother me why you guys need a major facelift in every six months
and the last one sentence that everyone seem missing, it's PROTOTYPE BUILD before production.
Xenon Flash is not bugging on me even though it nice additional, I do need a good led flash which I like to use as a torch.

Heh, anyways enough of that. I do wonder... IF Honami has changable lenses like was previously discussed, what if they have optional accessories like xenon flashes too? Sony could be trying to kickstart a new category of mobile phone camera accessories. |

If they can come up with good logistics design like Dell, it would be great
@HxH: Im not woory about the design, but the sensor size, its really hard for them to squeeze 20mpx camera with sensor size larger than the XZ into the small area.... but maybe the thickness can back up for it  )
Anyway, the prototype unit might be different from the final one ) so lets wait |

Does anybody know how many Z's have been sold this quarter? Are they able to sell 0.8 million+ a mounth after initial hype?

Sony fanboys may swoon over every phone that Sony makes, even if it's shaped like a dong, but NORMAL people, you know the demographic that Sony covets, will tell you a large 5" phone that has nothing but straight lines and 90degree angles is uncomfortable to hold. There's a reason why almost every phone out there has CURVES. The omnibalance or whatever marketing BS Sony is using to describe it fails miserably in the ergonomics department. And what a stupid assertion it is that new designs don't matter. Samsung is losing sales and have reduced shipment forecasts and their stock price is dropping because analysts will tell you the S4 looks too similar to the S3 and not much change. The same thing for the iPhone 5 and 5S. Smartphones are like clothing, with new trends every year. If you can't realize this basic principle, there's more than just a few nuts and bolts loose in there. |
